"I have the heart of a small child... in a jar, on my desk." - Stephen King
"This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence." - Alex DeLarge
My name is Alex. I guess I'm a pretty sick guy. You can call me a horror writer, or a "horror artist" with the fancy quotation marks if you prefer. I have a fascination and an addiction with disturbing the weak and making the squeamish feel uneasy. Gruesome horror, action and drama are my main things, but I can dabble in a bit of bloodstained romance when I'm able. I'm also a decent poet, if it counts for anything.
But in all honesty... I'm not demented. I simply enjoy having fun at other people's expense, and I just love to freak people out. I think that the most satisfying feeling is when someone feels uncomfortable and disgusted while reading my work, and when they finish, they can't help but let out a chuckle, whispering "That was awesome..."
But if you think I'm all about shock value, I beg you to reconsider.
Recent Activities:
5/6/08 -- Finally, FINALLY, I have updated a story. To make up for the long hiatus, chapters Three, Four, and Five of "Stretch" have been posted. "Arsenic Kisses" is still being worked on, along with a new project.
4/23/08 -- I have free time again, so Arsenic Kisses is back under the knife. Creativity is flowing again, and I feel great about this next chapter. It's been waaaaay too long, you guys.
3/23/08 -- Cyanide (the screenplay) is done; we're currently filming it, and I've been working on the next 3-4 chapters of "Stretch" feverishly. I HAVE NOT given up on "Arsenic Kisses". This is the longest hiatus I have ever suffered since starting the story (Five months?! Fuck!), but it is not even close to being an abandoned project (like, sadly, "The Nobodies"). I've unfortunately been opening Arsenic Kisses, staring at it, typing a sentence or two, and closing it. That will hopefully change soon. In a perfect world, I would gladly be a full-time writer, pumping out book after book, but unfortunately...
Stories in progress: Arsenic Kisses, Stretch, Eff You See Kay
Future Work...
I've always got some story ideas on the backburner, some of which are: "Sanction", "Get Valerie A Sketchbook", "Autumn-Jade", and "The SHAWD Theory". One of these might become a story, or all of them, but most likely none of them. High hopes, though.
Disclaimers: Don't whine that my stories are violent/gory/disgusting. I made them to be violent/gory/disgusting. If you can't help but whine, you're focusing too much on the violent/gory/disgusting parts and not paying attention to the meat and potatoes of the actual (awesome) story. Stop it.
I don't like Stephen King.

Fanfiction "writers" can kiss my ass. Most fanfiction is horrible (HORRIBLE), but even the well-written ones do nothing more than cheapen another person's hard work and ideas.
Don't tell me that my characters curse too much. They don't, trust me. Don't believe me? Look at the vast majority of hardcore M/M slash stories on fictionpress (or better yet, fanfiction.net), and get back to me.
With extremely rare exceptions, I hate the fantasy genre. Not all fantasy, mind you, just the "battle for Middle-Earth, wizards, warriors, minotaurs, dragons, etc." stream of crap. No, I have not read "The Lord of the Rings", and hell no, I have not read that ridiculously long "Queen of Glass" story either. To make a long story short, if you've written a fantasy story that you want me to read, it had better be really fucking good and original. I swear, I'll vomit if I see the words "elven princess" in another story summary.
