'Writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia'

I'm twenty-one and in my third year of med school. Which is a whole lot of blah and not enough sleep. Hence, I look like a zombie. I write a lot, but read even more. In the catastrophic event that I can't find something new to read, I'm one of those geeks who re-read (: I tend to ramble rather pointlessly, so I best shut up about me now.

The Writing

P a p e r c u t s is the only story I'm working on at the moment. Reckon only got around 6-7 chapters left. Also, I just want to make it clear that because it's only in Rey's perspective, so she seems to be suffering from too many mood swings but I doubt anything in real life is black and white or anything is a clearcut decision. I can't stand it when fictional characters are blatantly perfect, and that Rey is not.

T h e O n l y M a n I H a v e E v e r L o v e d oneshot was inspired by a Postsecret. It's rather sad, but I like how it turned out.

S t a y W i t h Y o u oneshot was just a random scene that popped into my mind late at night, it's rather vague and has flawed characters...

B e t t e r t o g e t h e r I really want to continue 'cause I like the plot, but it probably won't be until after PPC is finished.

E h t r t d I wrote most of it when I was 15, and now I cringe when I read it again. So until I find time to fix all the stupid writing, it's on indefinite hiatus.

P o e m s Some of my old stuff deserves to be taken down, it's just morbid and has too many cuss words. The randomest things inspire me. Some are for people or about them, mostly its just stuff an old friend and I have been writing since school and even now that we're away at different unis.

Chapter 18 up! And finally hit the 100K word barrier!

Yes, I know I've been lazy but I've been bored lately and got all inspired to write this week. It's been a difficult chapter to write, I wanted to show you don't get a happy-ever-after magically, so this chapter plus the remaining two are going to be about that. I'm upset PPC is almost over, I've been writing it since my A-Level's!

I've started writing a new, as-yet-untitled story which is supposed to be a short story. Until I figure out a title ( this always takes me a week of agonising!) and a proper summary, I don't know when I'll post the chapter or so I have already written. It's a desi story, basically about the whole 'status' paranoia in desi society and how people expect things to be a certain way. It's romance though, and I think more so than Hassan and Rey's drama story. So look out for that soon...

After PPC and this short story, there's a new long-term story I've been thinking about but it needs a lot of research and planning, I don't know if I will have time to work on that properly. I have 5 extra subjects to cover for hospital duties, and the clinical side of med school is overwhleming right now :(

People kept asking how much of Hassan is based on real-life and trust is, he's almost all fiction and a combination of real-life cute stories I heard, but mostly my over-active imagination. Trust me, I wouldn't be daydreaming if I had a real Hassan :P

Oh, and I've recently been obsessed with Trapt's -Ready When You Are, it fits the whole PPC story brilliantly, so even if you don't like rock music, give it a listen!
