Author has written 11 stories for General, Friendship, and Life. DISCLAIMER: I HAVE THE TENDENCY TO RAMBLE! Lindsay-15-female-libra Some of my poems sound very dark. I believe myself to be a generally optimistic person and when I don't feel that way that is when I write. I usually don't write when I'm really happy, only really sad. So I don't want anyone getting the idea that I'm this miserable, moping person. Lol. I accept criticism, but it needs a reason. It's ok if you don't like it of course, I want to hear how I can improve because it does no one good to just say that something is awful. And if so could you tell me which line(s) need work? ha, I sound like an English teacher...And if I have any spelling or grammar errors let me know too! :) ... , . - . - , _ , ... ... / . . . .`.. . . .. ... ... .. . . . ./ . ./ ... ... `-;`.-' ... ... || _.-'| ... ... , ... ..|| .' ... ... , ...` | /|., |Y.., ... ... >_.-`Y| ... ... ..|| ... ... || ... I cannot cut and paste regular pictures in here, but here are some links to the pictures that are in my poems: This was at the top of my poem SPINNING: http://www.fotosearch.com/IMG311/01031020/ And this one was on the bottom (it's the third picture of the lighthouse): http://www.azfotos.com/countries_worldwide/europe/denmark/denmark.htm This was at the bottom of SHADOWS: http://www.dennisflood.com/photos/gallery/sausage_lake/large/sausage_lake_3-Shadows.jpg And this is one of my favorite pictures that was under ALTERED PERCEPTION: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://ew2.lysator.liu.se/pic/art/a/d/adorelai/rose.jpg&imgrefurl=http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/a/d/adorelai/rose.jpg.html&h=534&w=400&sz=24&tbnid=sW1xe9EOMWgJ:&tbnh=128&tbnw=96&prev=/images3Fq3Dpurple2Brose26hl3Den26lr3D&oi=imagesr&start=1 My writing style does not rhyme, but I appreciate and admire those who do, because mine never comes out that way. My poems always come out as long strings of emotion and sometimes I have to habit to repeat things with synonyms, so sorry if I do that. My poems do not have a whole lot of structure as you can see by the lack of periods, but as a reviewer of SHADOWS was saying 'Poetry isn't about structure, it's about feeling.' My favorite bands are My Chemical Romance and Badly Drawn Boy, rather opposites which I find funny. Badly Drawn Boy is a nice English band. They did the music for About A Boy with Hugh Grant. | |||||
