As I glance at other people's profiles I realize that most people have something to say about themselves. Age, favorite stuff, whatever. This has made me feel slightly like I should say something about myself, but I've never been good with the whole idea of favorites. Well, there's something. Umm... I'm in high school, I'm incredibly short, I'm a fanatic vegetarian, I like cats and the color green, but I like other colors better...
Then I decided that the one thing that strikes me as slightly relevant is favorite authors/books, and I actually have those, despite my dislike of picking favorites. So I thought I would mention that I am in love with the works of: Robin Mckinley, Juliet Marillier, Patricia C. Wrede, Patricia A. Mckillip, and Robin Hobb.
Then I thought maybe it would be a good idea to say a little about my stories, becuase the fictionpress summary word limit has been forcing me to change them from what I wanted them to be, and they are maybe not as accurate as would be ideal.
What Could Have Been: This was my first attempt at a romance, and it was originally intended to contain as many cliches as possible, not necessarily the characters, but in the situations, because I've noticed that in a lot of fp romances, the characters, start out hating eachother, one of them is abused, there is some type of school project/tutoring session, ect. It is not coming along exactly as planned, and I'm not sure if I like it, because it feels to cliche to be good and not cliche enough to be what I was originally aiming for. However, if you want a summary, it's basically about Aurelie, who used to be friends with a boy named Julian, he betrayed her, and now there are circumstances which compel her to want to forgive him, and, of course, they should end up being romantically involved, if I get around to writing that far.
G.O.D. Inc.: This is the one of my stories I actually like. It's about the six newest employees of G.O.D. Inc, which is pretty much what the name sounds. The thing is, the title of God is an elected office, and the elections are coming up, but there's a little bit of trying to rig them going on, as well as an opposing faction that might actually have a point, the Devil's Advocates. It's also posible that there will be romance going on between the six main characters, but I haven't really decided yet.
She's All My Fancy Painted Him: Kind of based on the version of the poem by Lewis Carroll that's in Alice in Wonderland. Except, each chapter will be based on a line, but the story won't be based on the poem as a whole (partially because I can't figure out what he was talking about).
Searching for Thorns: This is the story of three sisters who are all magically gifted in a slightly offbeat form of magic known as thorn-speaking. They live alone in the forest until one of them has dreams that cause them all to leave. In their separate searches, each one runs into difficulties, romance, and ultimately, a way to bring them back to the thorns.
As for my poetry, it's the stuff that, for one reason or another, I don't want to show to the people who know me (most likely because it's about the people I'd show it too and would give them insights into my emotions I'd rather they didn't have). They're reasonably private, and while I welcome reviews, I won't explain, and it's fully possible that they won't make sense on their own.
