I figured since it is now 2009 that I would revamp my profile. I am the entity known as Madness. Harper Collins Webster's Dictionary describes me as insanity or folly. However, I describe myself as the process we all go through once the impact of the world hits us. Thus as Madness took over me, infused me with life, I picked up my quill and began to write. That is when I truly began to live.

Honestly though, I am your normal nineteen year old college junior who is just having fun with his passion. I am currently an author for the group Garden of Black Roses where I write as the dimwit commander, Trayce D. King. Both Trayce and Madness have a bit of my real self in them, but they are also sides of me that people don't see often. I am a very carefree individual who has gone through some psychological changes in the last couple of years that have made me a better person. I am much more tolerant of people now, and any and all prejudice towards things I did not understand is officially gone from my life. I believe all people are equal no matter what. I wasn't raised to see color, and I don't expect other people to see it either.

I specialize in martial arts writing, because as my occupation states, I am a fighter. I love martial arts as much, and or more, than I do writing. It has been a part of my life ever since I was four years old and I don't see it changing anytime soon. I also write poetry, and love fics because I think we all need to break from what we are "good" at to try new things every once in a while. I also like doing collaborative pieces, so if you would like to do one with me, get at me or better yet, join the Garden! Hmmm, that seems to be about it. Yep, I think I've exhausted my vocabulary for this early in the morning so it is time to go watch Futari Ecchi! YATTA!

Likes: I enjoy alot of different stuff. I love anime and manga, manga being the better of the two. My favorite manga are Change 123, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, Grappler Baki, New Grappler Baki, Baki: Son of Ogre, Garouden, Hajime no Ippo, Kurohime, Kinnikuman, Kinnikuman: Nisei, Shamo, Flame of Recca, Fairy Tail, Tenjho Tenge, Beach Stars, Airmaster, Air Gear, Beet the Vandel Buster, Ikki Tosen, Battle Club, Futari Ecchi, Midnight Panther, and many more. I am a manga junkie if it makes things a bit clearer.

I am also heavy in Tokusatsu, which is Japanese for special effects show. Basically, these are your shows like Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider. My favorite toku shows are Kamen Rider Kabuto, Kamen Rider Kiva, Kamen Rider Den-O, Mahou Sentai Magiranger, Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger, Madan Senki Ryukendo, Tomica Hero Rescue Force, and Garo. These shows heavily influence my writing so if someone shouts, "HENSHIN!", then you know it came from Japan!

Comics are also cool with me, but I will admit I don't read them much. I just like the thought process, and the writing behind them. My favorite heroes are from most to least favorite are : I Spawn, II Static Shock, III Deadpool, IV War Machine, V X-Men (to be specific: Gambit, Magik, and Emma Frost), VI Magdalena, VII Nightwing, VIII Ironman, IX Wonder Woman, and X Green Latern (John Stewart, not Hal Jordan).

While I am a dork, I am also a jock. I play football for my fraternity/club, and I play running back and deep safety. In short my job is to blast anyone that comes near me while playing defense, and run over anyone that gets in my way on offense. I also take over as quarterback in the Wildcat offense we run because I am the fastest member of the team. I also play basketball (I'm a power forward), and baseball (First Base, Shortstop, and Centerfield). I used to run track, but I messed up my knee in highschool playing football so I can't anymore. However, I make up for it by burning people on the football field. My favorite sports teams are (by sport): Football- New York Giants, Baseball- Philadelphia Phillies, Basketball- Dallas Mavericks, Hockey- Anaheim Ducks, Rugby- South Africa, IFL, before it folded- Tokyo Sabres, Favorite MMA Fighter- Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans.

I like movies and what not so I have a couple of favorite actors and actresses.

Actors: Terrence Howard, Samuel L. Jackson, Jean Claude Van Damme, Wesley Snipes, Mark Musashi, and Mike Cham.

Actresses: Isabella Soprano, Kaylani Kai, Eva Mendes, Meghan Good :D, Mikie Hara, Aoi Sora, and Rosario Dawson.

Music wise, I am open to all forms of music. I dig Visual Kei alot, especially the older stuff like Malic Mizer, Dir En Grey, and X Japan. My real passion though is Hip Hop and R&B. My favorite Hip Hop artist are Common, Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, B Simms, True Cinema, Dragon Ash, B-Dash, Kanye West, Ice Cube (his older stuff off the Bootlegged Album, and Americakkk's Most Wanted), Snoop Dog (also his older stuff, but I do like Sensual Seduction), and Nyne. R&B wise its John Legend, Erika Badou, Llyod, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Johnny Taylor, Koda Kumi, Boyz 2 Men, and many others. I also dig Jazz, and lyricless Blues. The stuff that just drowns your soul is great material to drive and write to.

Dislikes: There isn't much I don't like. I hate biggots, and racists because all of my life I've had to deal with that bullshit. So, now I proudly wave it in their faces that my president is African American and White so try to hate him if you want! LOL! I am not to fond of child molesters and rapists and I will personally castrate you with my bare hands and feed them to you if I catch you. I have people in my life that that has happened to and I refuse to see that happen to anyone else. I am not too partial to those who try to stifle my intellectual growth by placing restraints on me. I think outside of the box, and if you can't deal with it, get the hell out of my box!

Other than that, I'm pretty open. I used to be homophobic, but now I have alot of gay friends and they are just like anyone else. I would be considered metro I guess because of my tendency to primp and what not, but I don't care if it makes me seem gay. I like to look good, and believe you me, I'm as straight as an arrow. But I don't like gay bashing. I joking, its ok if you know the person and they don't mind it, but just because you don't know them, doesn't give you the right to hate on them. But let it be known, hit on me and we will have a problem. K?

My Writing

Guilty Act- This has been my flagship story for the longest time and has gone through many versions. I must apoligize to all fans of this series as it is now going through anothetr re-write, but I hope that you will enjoy the new version that is soon coming (hopefully within the next week or so) that has now been inspired by Kinnikuman, Grappler Baki, and Garouden. The new storyline is a bit of a change, so I will keep it underwraps till it debuts.

Highschool Evolution- This story was passed on to me by Y-Janz Providence, and I'll be damned if I let him down! It takes place in the future where high school has advanced way past what we all knew/know it as. I haven't been working on this story I must admit, but as soon as I head back to school, aside from my grades, writing is to become my number three priority (behind my faith, and school).

Poison- This is one of my newer stories and the only one I have finished entirely. It is about a young man, who for the sake of love, sells his soul the devil. Inspiration drawn from Deal With The Devil. I have yet to get this off of my computer so I am going to have to transcribe it by hand which will take some time so I can give you an exact date.

Pandora's Box- My newest tale will be an interactive with the readers creating the majority of characters, minor characters. However, I retain right to change the character minorly if necessary to fit the storyline. If interested, please do not use any characters you plan on using in futute tales for copyright purposes since any character sent to me becomes my character, but the creator will be credited with creation. The story itself is about a young Peacekeeper's struggle against an enemy that has been around since the time of Adam & Eve. Armed with her faithful armblades, devil-may-care attitude, and a chip on her shoulder the size of Texas; Pandora Midnight charges head forward into a fight that she's been destined for since birth. Inspired by Witchblade, Beet the Vandel Buster, and Final Fantasy.

The idea for this came from the Megaman Battle Network character creation competitions.

This story is currently on hiatus because, like my other stories I haven't been working on them. But expect the next chapter sooner rather than later as I make myself get a actual update schedule. Berserk Brothers- This is story that I have been writing the most of currently. I write this under the name of Trayce D. King along with Richard Wong in the Garden of Black Roses account. It is about twin brothers, one Asian and one African American, who by a freak of bifraternal impregnation, end up in our world. Life is hard for the odd couple as not only do they have to deal with wierd looks when they have to tell people they are blood brothers, but they have to deal with the trials of highschool and martial arts woman with special powers! Alas, even the Sun and the Moon have to grow up. Inspired by Ranma 1/2, Tenjho Tenge, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, and Grappler Baki.

Inspired by Bleach and Eyeshield 21.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that I can officially commit myself to a update schedule. It will go as follows: Wednesday and Friday. I am only saying that for some stories. For the stories that are more involved, I will say once a week if that is possible. I would rather take a bit longer and give you quality, rather than rush through it and it be crap.

My writing style is a bit different than most peoples. I am inspired by music, manga, and film so it becomes apaprent once my dialouge, chapter titles, and characters come to the fore front. I am also a fan of film noir and am working towards making my first person style alot like that because it portrays a sense of grittyness as well as a sense of hopelessness which most of my stories are about.

I have a tendency to use "urban language" in my writing. This is because, 1 my main characters tend to be African American, which I also am, so I can connect with them easier and I know what I would say in the situations they are placed in, and 2 "urban language" as a whole how we all speak now. Words and phrases such as "What's up", "yo", and "On the real" are replacing proper English and my writing reflects thats. I, personally, have no problem with it and embrace a changing of the times while at the same time, as an English major, welcome a digression of time. Regardless though, my writing sometimes my offend because of my subject matter. This includes and is not restricted to, racism, such as in the second version of Guilty Act where an antagonist called the main character a n-word. I personally, in everyday langauge, much like Aaron McGruder, use the word because it is apart of my culture but I have learned that in order to prevent others from using the word in a hateful way, I must myself stop using it. However, if a situation in my writing arises where the word is to be used, remember that I warned you if you are easily offended. Other situations that may occur are extreme scenes of violence and gore, psychological material not approprate for children, and situations people do not readily address. So, if you are easily offended, my writing isn't for you.

But I will try to change you opinion of what is offensive and what is just plain real.

Other than that, I encourage you to enjoy my pieces of literature and review them. If you do, I will return the favor as prompty as I can. But then again, being a broke college kid only makes that a bit harder.
