Author has written 13 stories for Love, General, Life, Fantasy, and Work. Until recently, I've been rather obsessed with writing fantasy, but I've switched tracks to writing (and reading) poetry. I try to review often, but I really get discouraged when no one reviews my works (hint, hint), so please give it a try! I've also become obsessed with romantic cliche-like writing; as long as the grammar is good and the plot is semi-believeable I'm willing to give it a go. Any suggestions?? Want something reviewed?? Drop me a PM, email, or better yet, A REVIEW!!! For me poetry is about a semi-universal message? If you've read "Princess Academy" by Shannon Hale, you know what I'm talking about, but if you're one of the few who have missed out on Hale's writing genious (Princess Academy and her other series for younger readers and her Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice thing for the older crowd), I'll try to explain it to you. Poetry should say SOMETHING, and whether it is a description or a message, it should envoke some feeling or connection in every reader. At least, thats what I think. My OTHER favorite writers are Tamara Pierce (I've been in love since fifth grade), Amelia Atwater-Rodhes (not that stupid series that she can't seem to stop writing), Kurt Vonnegut (Slaughterhouse 5 and Catch-22 (Heller) are two of my favorite novels of all time), Jane Austen (can't you see my odd obsession with cliches?), and many, many others. | |||||||||
