Author has written 9 stories for Romance, General, General, and Sci-Fi. Update 2 November, 2009 Holy cats... I updated. I thank my sister for motivating me, and NaNoWriMo, for helping me stop being such a perfectionist. So tired, Espantalho Update (nearly) 23rd October 2009 Well, look who crawled out of her real-life-shell to visit her beloved and neglected profile page. It is I, Espantalho. No, really! I am still alive! Don't call Missing Persons!! Excuses for not posting lately 1) "Number 81", my baby, my darling, my potential masterpiece... isn't going well. It's at an awkward spot where I can't really transition it to the next stage, and I can't figure out how it's going to end and how much should be in the story and which bits and pieces should go where, blah, blah, blah... 2) Real life is kicking my ass. I graduate from my University soon, I'm moving the ENTIRE SPAN OF TWO STATES (shut up... it's like a 10 hour move... fail) soon, my roommates are crazy, my bank screwed up my account recently, I'm trying to balance my job with band and homework, and life is just generally insane. Why it's potentially not the end of the world One word: NaNoWriMo. It brought me "Number 81"... and this year, I'm going to use it to FINISH "Number 81". Nothing to motivate you like a necessary 50,000 word count and a looming, 31-day deadline. Sorry I appreciate the patience and feel like a total loser. Hopefully I'll bring you something good soon to compensate! Other Things AFTER "Number 81" is finished, I'll be starting a couple of other stories. 1) The Frozen North (working title until I find something slightly more ominous) - A serial killer vs. team of cops type of story. I've been toying with it for a while, in the same way that I toyed with the concept of "Number 81" for a while, and I hope that it will bring results that are just as good. 2) Eagle-Eye Juliet and the Cannonball Killer and its immediate sequel Eagle-Eye Juliet and the Dark Side of the Moon. Think morally-ambiguous Indiana Jones - meets - the "Arabian Nights". Confused yet? Oh, you will be. Hell, I'm confused and I haven't even started. This may end up like "Soler"... poor "Soler"... I had such high hopes. Maybe I'll revisit it sometime. Hmm... (3?) Revisit some of the old stuff that needs to be cleaned up. I added another chapter to Unimportant People... maybe I'll do some more. Soler could certainly stand some attention. God knows that the middle and later chapters of Act III still need revision. Cassidy... well, Cassidy's nearly toast. I'll probably delete it soon. The End; I need to write other things besides this, right?! See you soon, Espantalho | |||||||||
