I'm Sydney the yuppie-brat, amateur writer and professional angsty teenager, spawn of suburban America. I'vebeen writing since before I knew how to form the letters, dictating stories to my parents. I adore the English language, reading it, writing it, speaking it. (And to all you Netspeak kiddies: If u TpyE lIeK dIs, QUIT RAPING MY LANGUAGE). My main influences are fantasy, punk rock, and of course, angst. Though nothing of the self-mutilation or lovelorn variety. There are enough black roses and crimson tears and bullets of love on the internet as it is. I'llmostly post poems and one-shots here; my longer stories tend to dissolve into ramblings on the lives I wish I led. Special Books: Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club; William Golding, Lord of the Flies; George Orwell, 1984; J.R.R. Tolkien, Lord of the Rings, etc; Anthony Burgess, A Clockwork Orange; and of course, Richard Adams' Watership Down, always and forever. Musical Elitism: I'm a rabid Sex Pistols fangirl, thirty years too late. Also the Clash, the Raveonettes, David Bowie, the Dead Kennedys, the Stiff Little Fingers, the Violent Femmes, the L.E.S. Stitches, the Damned, the Ramones, the Smashing Pumpkins, the Subhumans, etc. I love my music. :) But I hate Greenday. Damn you, Greenday.
