Author has written 42 stories for Friendship, Life, Fantasy, Love, Young Adult, Thriller, and Fantasy. Hello! My name is Lydia! I'm a crazy theater person and I usually write quite depressing stories and poems! Just so you know, I'm almost nothing like my writing! I'm a decently happy person, just very pessimistic and sacrastic. I guess I just have a hard time writing things that are both happy and good. :) Let's see, what else is there to know... hmm... writing is the love of my life. I adore writing more than anything. I usually write during class, whether its song lyrics, poems or short stories. I sometimes even write during lunch if I'm on a roll with a good story! Theater is my heaven. I love acting! It's so great to step out of reality and become a whole new character. And singing and dancing too! Musical theater is love! I want to major in musical theater when I go off to college! I'm a hopeless romantic! But since I've had pretty bad luck when it comes to love, most of my stories/poems about love are rather depressing. Usually the guy I like doesn't know I exsist. Which really stinks. But we all get over things like that...eventually. Music = life. That's pretty self-explainitory. I love all kinds of music. I can have Marilyn Manson and Katy Perry on the same playlist basically. I think the only music I don't like is The Jonas Brothers. I don't just stick to one style of music because that gets boring! If I'm happy I'm not going to go listen to death metal! I'm probably going to listen to Britney Spears (which is slightly embaressing but I do like her songs!) I usually get called a poser for not just sticking to one genre of music. And I'd like to say now, I'm no poser, I just have my own style. :P I love reading. It's so fun and I really don't understand why more people don't like it! I want to be an author one day! :) I liked Twilight WAY before it became such a huge deal and EVERYONE became obsessed with it!! Fan fiction is my favorite thing ever!! I love reading and writing it! I usually read Twilight, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean fan fiction. I write mostly Harry Potter fan fiction! :) Well...I think that's me in a nutshell! PLEASE read my stories and poems, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE review them! (I LOVE REVIEWS!! :D) I really want to go in depth about explaining some of the things I've written and help you understand them a little bit better! :) so here we go; A Young Girl's Puppeteer- A poem I wrote when I felt like my mom was trying to control my life and everything that happened in it. I was sick of it and I honestly felt like a pupet on strings. It was painful and we fought a lot! And while I wrote this, I was also thinking about suicide. All Because of You, Thomas Hale- I just wrote this! Hot off the press! :) I wrote a letter to the guy I'm in love with that I knew he never would recieve, and I blamed everything on him. Which is TERRIBLE I know, but I just had to get it out. So, I decided I might as well turn something into a story. Now, my problems weren't anything like Lara's in the story, I'm not that screwed up! An Unhappy Mother-This is basically about one of my friend's situation. Her mother was really depressed. But the end of this one isn't how my friend's situation turned out, which is good. Beautiful Child-I wrote this when I was fighting with my mom. She always called me ugly and said that I was growing up the opposite of how she wanted me to. Daddy, I Just Wanna Dance- Ballet. I love it. It's so graceful and elegant and incredibly difficult, and when I was little, all I wanted to do was be a prima ballerina. Dream- I found out two of my friends were cutting themselves and considering suicide. That night, I had a dream exactly like this poem, my friends were morphed into one body, and they killed themselves in front of me. I woke up crying and shaking. I knew I had to let out my feelings somehow, so at 3 A.M. I grabbed a pen and wrote this. Growing Pains- Growing up is difficult and a painful process. I learned that at a very young age. I didn't really fit in at my grade school, and once I got to junior high I noticed it a lot more. Plus, my class had 20 kids in it who were in the same class since kindergarden. It was hard for me, and the pain I got from all of that I called growing pains. I Can't Do Sadness- First of all, I want to explain; I am NOT a religious freak. I'm doubting my faith and I'm going crazy about God and sins and ...blah! But I've been through many a hard time, and through each struggle I found God. I lose God a lot in my life, but I find him again during times of pain. Plus, this was a religion project, and I just had to get my feelings out there. Love Him Like I Do- Right now, this poem is the most personal to me. I'm in love with this boy who is in love with his new girlfriend. And to be perfectly honest, I want to be like Oedipus and blind myself so I don't have to see them together. But, at least he's happy. He's ignoring me a lot more than usual but I know he's happy, because I can see it in his eyes. And if she takes him for granted I would go insane. He is someone I would do anything for, and she just gets him. It doesn't really seem fair. But since I have to accept that I'm not his Cinderella, I want him to be happy. So, this is exactly what I would say to her if I ever talk to her. I would tell her she better not take him for granted because he is such a great person. And he deserves the best. It took a lot out of me to accept this whole situation for what it really is, and it took a lot to write this poem too. Pixie Dust- I adore Peter Pan. It is one of my favorite classic stories. I remember when I was little hoping to wake up to Peter trying to get his shadow to stick. Neverland was the place I wanted to be. So, this poem is basically a daydream. I imagine soft music box music playing every time I read it, and I picture the pixie dust. State of Oblivion- In junior high, I went through a time when my whole class turned against me. No one would talk to me, and they acted like they didn't care. That was my state of oblivion, my own personal circle of Hell. This is She- And she is me. This is the poem of the ever cliche Miss Invisible. The girl who no one ever really sees who doesn't fit in. I wrote this in junior high, during History, I believe. I was the one no one cared about. Wrong Time, Wrong Place, Wrong Age- Okay I don't know about you, but I'm a HUGE history nerd. I adore British history (especially the Tudor period and the Victorian age!) and every time I watch movies or go to London, anything that reminds me of history, I realize that I belong back then. I mean, sure they didn't exactly shower all the time, actually times were disgusting when it came to that kind of stuff, but the gowns, court life...all of that just seems so magical to me. I'm trapped in the wrong time period and desperate to go back! | |||||||||
