Author has written 33 stories for Love, Life, Friendship, General, and Fantasy. EXTRA! EXTRA! Chapter 5 of "Petal of Blood" has been posted! Welcome to my little corner of the web, darlings! If you have never been to this particular exhibit before and actually like reading amateur fiction I would like to direct your attention to number one on my lovely list down below. "Petal of Blood" is my baby at the moment and I really would love some more reviews (who wouldn't) but especially those who point out where I could improve and the likes. Speaking of which, a super special thank you to Tristan Bingham and MikiSweety for making me look over Petal of Blood over and over again fixing little things that make a big difference. I would also like to direct you attention to everything else on my list after that, of course, and I wish you happy reading if you decide to read some. I know it took me forever to get the fourth chapter of "Petal of Blood" up but I am happy to inform you that chapter five is actually almost done. So don't you sigh and say "Well, it took her this long to get four up" and just ignore me for a bit because you don't think five will be up anytime soon. It will and it contains quite the battle scene, mind you. Did you notice they won't let us put large spaces in our profiles? It is dumb. That should fix that. Just Updated June 4th: Petal of Blood (I have gone through and done a bit more editing in all of the chapters as I work on Chapter 6. Also, the chapters have been moved around to allow room for a "Before You Read" section in the beginning. Sorry if I did this in a way that seems confusing, but if I did, lemme know and I try to fix it somehow . . .) Chapter One: Here we are introduced to our main character, Kayrae Lia Daique, as she enters an unnamed school at the heart of the country of Gratis. We learn a few details of Kaye as well as being introduced to a few other character such as her best friend, Julia and the eldest royal of Gratis, Prince Hoze. It is in her meeting with Hoze that we learn Kaye is not who she says she is but in fact the Dauphine of a neighboring country named Ariante Kaylina Hovana. Chapter Two: In the beginning of this chapter we learn a little bit more about "Kaye's" gift and the vial of liquid sun she has lost as she talks with Julia. But while discussing this, Prince Maree overhears them and uses her gift as a Stopwatch to freeze them both in time. Kaye awakes in the infirmary only to learn that someone had found her vial of liquid sun and added something to in in an attempt to kill her. It is also here that Kaye runs into her first big problem with her gift over ice that she can not control. Chapter Three: Kaye fights an inner battle while unconscious to gain control of her gift as she lays in the infirmary. When she regains consciousness, she meets Jonathan, a young man with the gift of fire. With him at her bedside she continues to fight her inner battle and suddenly realizes that if an assassin knew her real identity as the Dauphine then word would have passed and they all knew. She therefore sees no use for "Kayrae Daique" and reclaims her real identity as Ariante Hovana and goes with Jonathan to meet with the Queen of Gratis to tell her of the assassination attempt even though it is well into the night. Chapter Four: Ariante decides to make a quick stop at her chambers as the Dauphine so she might change before her meeting with the Queen and sends Jonathan ahead to let the Queen know she is coming. Jonathan returns a bit too quickly so she realizes that it isn't actually Jonathan and flees out the balcony door to the next suite where she finds Prince Hoze half naked in bed with a random woman. A fight commences and Ariante is doubting that she will be the victor. JUST IN! Chapter Five: Ariante has drawn on her last reserve and is making a stand against the Inferno Dante and his team that night in the Main Hall of the school. She knows she stands little hope surviving the encounter and throws everything she has into it, hoping that Hoze will appear in time with the Royal Guard like planned. Hoze does indeed come fighting but after Dante and his team have launched a massive and extremely damaging attack upon Ariante. | |||||
