About Me:
I am a young twenty-something girl who's still yet to reach adulthood, hindered by neurosis and a debilitating sense of self.
My interests encompass all of three topics: art, music, literature. But within those contexts, my taste varies widely.

As an Author:
I try to do more than just relate a long amusing anecdote or present entertaining characters.
To me, writing is about self-discovery and a chance to share what I have learned about myself, the world, and others.
It is a chance to expand the scope of the reader's empathy--
to allow them to look through the eyes of those they might otherwise never know.
That being said, my writing is far from developed.
And I am my own worst critic.
Stories:
Samson
This began as a fanfiction I failed to pursue, but I liked the characters and the feel, so I'm attempting to expand it into an original.
The chapters are very short, though that might change later on once the bulk of the plot begins to form.
At the moment, I'm still just dabbling and mostly enjoying myself.
Take note: this story, while seemingly normal now, will likely take on a very strange... atmosphere.
Secondhand Sunshine
This is something I've been wanting to write for a long time.
It's a practice in impirical writing--
while nothing and no one is true to life, the underlying plot (that of self-discovery) is based upon my own experience,
and many of the characters are derived from people I know and have known.
Miscellaneous Ruminations:
July 23: I don't know what's up with all the fifteen-year-old blondes lately. It's really just a coincidence. With Lilah, the image is supposed to invoke someone ethereal, ghostlike, dreamy... With Silver, it's merely a lapse of judgment as well as catalyst for character growth. She was supposed to be older as well
(about 17), but the story's timeline just wouldn't have it. Come to think of it, Ava almost matches Lilah's description to a T-- pale skin, very light blonde hair-- but, because of her demeanor, she's softer, more angelic than ghostlike...
Someday, I have got to write a story with older characters. Lol.
