Author has written 60 stories for Song. Manu Vaanikia is a French pianist and songwriter born in Marseille on April 28th, 1988. At the age of 5 he discovered the artistic world as he began taking piano courses. Only a few years later, he started in theatre courses, which he continued for 13 years. After an intense period of art he took a break to focus on his business study. In June 2001, Manu Vaanikia wrote his very first song "Warn't be". Heavily influenced by the Irish band, The Corrs, his first songs resembled much of what was heard in their music. Two years later, the influence of Alanis Morissette pushed his songs to a more personal place and brought a fresh change of style, as he began to carve out his unique musical identity. After years of writing without it, he eventually rediscovered the power of piano to create a soft and relaxing universe. In September 2007, he met the Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia, who gave him the advice and encouragement he needed to keep writing music. After seven years of writing and more than 17 albums, "Cottonite" introduces itself as the real Manu Vaanikia's universe with excellent down-tempo tracks. | |||||||||
