Swapped pen names from vaurienne to qualtagh for no reason other
than I wanted this name to match my other online nicknames...
I suppose that this is the place to tell a little about myself and my writing.
I'm
a third-year university student majoring in both history and
biology. (Yes, I know that it's a strange combination.) I'm
pretty shy, but I'm a cheerleader on my university's team. (Yes,
I know that's also a strange combination.) Hmm... What
else? I'm a short girl (5'0") who's dating a tall guy
(6'5"). I'm naturally fairly ambidextrous. (Maybe the
source of the strange combinations that appear in the rest of my
life!)
And because I'm fairly self-critical of my own writing, I love feedback of any kind.
Now, a bit about each of my stories:
'Atlas' -- This novella was written as a Christmas present for my boyfriend
'Dictionary'
-- This began as a series of short stories started based on a list of words given to
me by friends (I'm always accepting new words as ideas! And if
you're interested in what inspired the story for any particular word,
ask with a review and leave your email so I can get back to you.)
Works currently in progress:
'The Second Day' -- Don't expect to see this any time soon because
although I have an introduction and an idea, I'm not entirely quite
sure where I want the story to go. In essence, it's a story about
the power of the second day.
As Yet Untitled -- This one is slated to begin mid-March, 2006,
with regular updates. The story isn't finished yet, so idea of
updating regularly may falter once things actually get started.
The story itself is rather simple: a series of letters exchanged during
WWII between an airman and the girl he left behind.
