Update (September 18, 2009): I'm not really any closer to finishing Unbreakable than I was the last time I updated this in August. However, I am halfway completed with the story, so it shouldn't be too much longer. After that, I'll be working on one of the stories below, as I previously said in a prior update. Be sure to let me know which one you want to see! Upcoming Story Summaries: 1 - Where had she gone wrong? She hadn't asked for this. She was just a normal girl in a completely normal world, right? Why was fate and God being so cruel to her? Had she been destined to stare out the grimy windows of a dark, gloomy castle with a beast of unmeasurable grotesque quality breathing down her back? She would never sleep again, never see the outside of the walls she was now prisoner inside. And she would never consent to be the bride of such a horrible monster. This was all the fault of that stupid church bishop. If he hadn't come to her with that obsurd story and sent her on a "mission" as he called it, she wouldn't be in this situation where she was being courted by a yellow-eyed man who bestowed upon her everything her heart could ever desire. How in the world would she ever get out of this? 2 - Ever wonder why people get obsessed or have fondness for things of the past? Shayla does. She adores the world of old when valor and bravery made you a noble knight and princesses dressed in beautiful gowns of handmade finery. But she can't quite figure out why she's drawn to this. Her friends think her obsession is weird, but when she inherits a castle from a long lost relative, she'll soon be investigating her "odd infatuation" as her friends call it. What might she find? Is there a connection between her and the past? And more importantly, is she meant to discover this connection and the intricate design of life? 3 - Disney movies are made for kids, so naturally the true tale of Peter Pan would become a childish fantasy, but what about what really happened? Who was who and why did they become that way? Why did Tinkerbell hate Wendy? Where did the Lost Boys come from and how did they get there? What truly happened between Wendy and Peter? Is it more than a dream of a young girl who doesn't want to grow up? This is the adult version of the famous fantasy tale: Peter Pan. As you can see, one is my first attempt at my very own fantasy/fable. The second happens to be something that just popped into my head that will deal with some science fiction and a little bit of brain-probing fictional thoughts. And lastly, the adult version of Peter Pan. Hope one of them sounds interesting to you and that when I get around to posting that you'll read 'em. I have a few more ideas coming to me, but they're still in the works, so we'll see what happens. | |||||||||||
