Self injury...not the most loved topic in the world. Why is it that those who don't hurt themselves think of those who do as crazy? If u stubbed ur toe and u bite ur lip so hard it bleeds does that make you crazy? Think about it. You stubbed ur toe and u bite ur lip. Why do you bite ur lip? To distract yourself from the pain in ur toe. Is that crazy? If it is then every person in the world is crazy. People who cut or hurt themselves are not crazy. They cut themselves because the physical pain distracts them from their emotional pain. When ur sad and u can't cry or write or talk to someone you look for an escape. Sometimes that escape is a knife or a pair of scissors. Sometimes seeing blood or feeling the stinging of a sharp object can make people feel better. Even if it's only for a little while. So think of it this way. If something makes u feel better, even if it's harming u, does it mean ur crazy that u do it? I don't think so.
I don't know what came over me but I needed to write about something and this is the only thing that came to mind. I don't think that cutting is a good thing. But I also don't think that those who cut need to be on medication. I also think that they don't need to see a shrink. I'm sorry if none of u guys agree with me but that's my opinion. So deal with it.
I'm going to start a lil log thing on here using fake names of course so I can get some stuff out of my system. You people don't have to read it but I need to get this out of my head for a lil while.
