Just a little background on myself. I am a Progressive, an atheist, and a Humanist. When I write I write in most instances for myself. I do believe that in order to write better you must read. Hell in order to write at all you need to read. My favorite authors include Vonnegut, Bukowski, Hemingway, King, and Twain. I love to discuss philosophy, politics, literature, film, music, and about society.

I prefer to write short stories and I am a huge fan of first person. I love to use characters and let them tell their story in their own words and thoughts rather than me acting like a "God". I do also write poetry and the majority of it is free verse and free form. I do not believe that art can be defined and to say otherwise is pretentious arrogant tripe.
