Hey there!
Not much to talk about as far as my life goes. I read, do homework, go to school and hang out with friends. My life is very repetitive and writing is a way for me to escape from it. I have written a handful of very long stories (which will not all be posted here due to crudiness) and some short ones as well. Though I do not like the whole "review my story and I will review yours" thing, if you review my stories I will most likely review yours. This is not a bribe. When I feel like reading fictionpress stories, the easiest thing for me to do is click on the reviews of my stories and go to the reviewers page. Easy acess. If you send a PM to me, the same rule applies. I will probably look at your page and review your story. I warn you however, I may believe in constructive critisism, but my reviews can sometimes lean toward the fluffy side :) I apologize in advance if they annoy you or are too harsh. Oh, and by the way, I LOVE reviews...they make me want to update my stories. No reviews, no desire to update...so please, if you read it, say something! They don't have to be long, detailied reviews either, even a small "this is cute" review is appreciated!
In case you want to know a little about me...
I am currently a 16 year-old girl living in the giant puddle that is western Washington. I love animals (especially felines) and own waaaay too many cats (more than 5). My favorite shows on right now are "Heros", "Jerico", "So You Think You Can Dance", "How I Met your Mother", "Greys Anatomy", "Bones", "Samantha Who?", "Private Practice" and "House". My favorite movie is Serenity and my favorite cancelled shows are Buffy, Angel, Invader Zim and Firefly. I absolutely adore any book by Terry Pratchett and I love all of the Harry Potter books. I HATE parasites, wasps, needles, and my brothers feet.
MY STORIES
Magically Insane (MAIN): This story is complete but I will be editing, adding and even redoing chapters soon. Summary: Meet Katrina Sparks, an intelligent, bitter teenage girl that has always had everything together. Or at least that’s what everyone believed until a set of events revealed that she may not be as sane as they thought. When a pushy boy starts making special guest appearances in her dreams, the birds start saying good morning and oh, lets not forget the whole suicide attempt with a spoon, how could anyone think differently, including herself? When this girl is hit hard in the face by two worlds that clash she is faced with a most unusual, but important question: Is magic real or is she just insane?
Magically Immature (MAIM): COMPLETE (finally!). This story is the sequel to Magically Insane. Summary: Katrina is a normal, 16-year-old girl. At least she was before she realized she was a witch. Two months ago, her world was turned upside down by Marten Wasl, a warlock who revealed her magical status. During those months, their friendship grew to the point where he wanted to bring her into Bestia, the magical world. She reluctantly agreed to visit during her winter break, believing, like an immature child, that the trip would be calm and quiet. But, as all clichéd stories go, things quickly turned interesting. A power-hungry, evil witch was terrorizing dimensions, including the one of Prince Allen, a childhood friend of Marten. When a quest to save the prince’s parents sends Katrina deep into the world of fairy tales and clichés, it will take all her strength, cunning and sanity just to stay alive.
Magically Intuitive (MAIT) This is the third Magically Insane story (out of a planned four). I warn you, This story will live up to it's teen rating. My previous stories were rated teen to be safe, but could have scraped a PG rating (possibly). MAIT is going to have a darker theme, more swearing, and a pinch of inappropriate content. Teaser summary (written by Scott Graham): "From the author that brought you Magically Insane and Magically Immature, comes a story of fantasy, comedy, romance, and tragedy. Read the enchanting new pages of "Magically Intuitive", the newest novel from author DisturbedKittenWriter". Summary: Here’s a little riddle for you. What do you get when you combine nightmares, magic, animals, curses, and…me, Katrina Sparks? Yep, I am back. And believe me, this isn’t going to be pretty. Tait’s curse is making him more violent every day, Marten has contracted some weird illness that makes him weak, and I have earned back my completely realistic nightmares (this time, complete with actual fire!). To top it all off, my hormones won’t shut up. Oh yeah, this is going to be fun.
Magically Katrina (MAKA): This is just a series of short stories based off of MAIN. They are really short and may help explain the story a bit, but you don't need to read them to get MAIM and MAIN. I really enjoy writing these :)
Spawn of a Fairy Tale Couple (SFTC) and How Fur Flies (HFF): These are all on hiatus and will not be updated anytime soon. I have NO ideas for SFTC. As for HFF...I would like to work on it. However, I want to redo MAIN before I start writing it.
Other stories I am working on but have not been posted: I have a couple ideas for new stories. I have a few that are based off of films my friends and I made in video productions class. I have already started one of those, which is called Super Insecurities (I will post a summary soon). I am also curently working on a spin-off from Magically Insane. I don't know the title yet and I haven't written more than ten pages, but I know the basic idea. It's about Katrina's ancestors, paticularly an animal-loving witch named Kiandra. It is part magical/elemental fantasy, part love story and is set around the time Luper first meets the Veneficus girls. I will post a summary for this soon as well. I should have the first couple chapters posted on fictionpress before the end of spring, but you all know how often I actually post when I say I will ;)
The rest of my stories are all one-shots and are finished.
