I am currently attending Liberty University in Lyncbhurg, Virginia & studying Family & Child Development. I want to eventually, possibly run or work in an orphanage on the mission field in an Hispanic country. This is all subject to be changed by my Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ. I desire to follow his will for my life.
I love to write as a hobby. I personally do not think much of my stories or poems; they're just something for personal enjoyment and to entertain my friends. I also love the Spanish language. I took four years in high school, and even have some out-of-class experience in downtown Houston, TX where I spent one summer as a missionary. I like to incorporate Spanish in my writing, if I do so on FictionPress, I will be sure to translate for those non-speakers of the spanish language
My faith is seen throughout all of my writings, my poems reflect it, and a majority of my characters are strong Christians as well. If you read my stories, I ask that you read them with an open mind, it may show you something you never expected.
Update: " A Lily Among Thorns" is complete

If you like dragons, I highly suggest that you read shadowshyfter her story GEHD Project. She's a great writer, though she has no confidence in herslef. That comes from being surrounded by too many other writers (me & her best friend/roomate), none of us like our own writing.
My Stories
Diary of Bethany Ann Williams is a really short story that I'm not all that proud of. It was one of my first attempts at writing. It's an undetailed diary of a young woman traveling along the Oregon Trail. It's more or less up here because it is the prequel to Search For Love. Things make more sense if you read this one first. They can be read separately but there are a lot of details you can pick up on if you read both.
Search For Love is one of my favorites. There is some Spanish used, but I have made sure to translate it all. It's about Rebekah Ann who finds out at the age of seventeen that she was adopted. Only a month after she learns this, her adopted parents are killed in a freak house fire while she's away at a boarding school. She then begins searching for her birth mother. Her search leads her to Lynchburg, Virginia where she meets a kind young farmer who's good-looking too by the name of Brian Talley. By the way this is set in nineteenth century Virginia, which may or may not be historically correct.
A Lily Among Thorns took me the longest to write. I started it during my senior year of high school, and the characters are dedicated to my closest friends from that time period. So I must give a shout out to Erin, Suzanne, Marshall, and Joc. They know who their character is, but I'm not telling. Abby is a college student who strives to live a God-centered life on a secular campus. What she wants more than anything is to meet that perfect man God has for her. It's now complete, the epilogue is up & there is a trilogy planned, but it may be a while before I get around to it.
His Master Plan is from a storyline I've actually thought of for years, but I just started putting it on paper in the last few months. Sami & Matt were best friends growing up, but for reasons all their own they never dated. Matt left the state after graduation and went to a Christian college, leaving Sami alone in their small hometown attending community college. Unable to deal with the stress of her tyrant step-father, school and work, she turns to drinking and partying. Next thing she knows, she's been kicked out and finds herself alone in a big city. The story actually starts with Matt moving to a new city & working as a counselor at a church. He happens to see Sami at church and makes an effort to speak to her. What happens when he finds out she's married? What will he do when he learns her husband is beating her?
Corriendo is a story I just started (yeah I have a problem of starting new stories without finishing the first one). I have a lot of this one mapped up, but I only have two chapters actually written. Corriendo is the Spanish gerund for 'running.' Joshua Collins is the principal of Horseshoe Bend Academy, the only school in this extremely small town. Young and single, Josh takes particular interest in the mother of the new student in his school. As he tries to get to know Rachel Paul and her son Christopher, heonly develops more questions which he has no answers to. Why did they leave Mexico? What happened to Christopher's father? Why have they moved so many times? Rachel faces many difficulties in adjusting to life in Horseshoe Bend. How does she deal with the racial discrimination from her son's teacher, with her past, with her future, and with this man Josh Collins?
I'd really like to know what people think of His Master Plan and Corriendo. Where should I go with these stories? Should I even continue them? Email me, leave reviews, anything. Thanks & God bless.
