Author has written 2 stories for Romance, and Manga.

Hey, Fuyu here!

First off let me explain my penname. Fuyu is Japanese for winter, and Maiden is English, so you should understand that. Basically the name comes from two words I like and also an image I've been obsessed with since I first started writing when I was little. Which is an image of a girl surrounded by snow. It's one of the saddest and most beautiful images in the world I think. It tends to show up in my stories sometimes. Waiting for Eternal Winter is based around that image in fact.

Well, I finally got up the story I'd had in my mind for over three years. Sadly, my writing is on hold while I rework the story a bit.

All of my activities on FictionPress are stalled while I fix that story. I'll keep it up until I have five chapters of the good version up though.

A Note to My Readers: I plan to reply to everyone who is kind enough to review my stories. I really appreciate the input and I want to at least say thank you or to reply to any questions. As of right now I am unsure of how I am going to do this. But feel free to ask any questions, I'll be sure to answer them.

I will also review one story of yours if you review my story. I'll review a specific one if you request it. However, the length and quality of my review might very well be based off of the length and quality of yours. The more time you take to review mine, the more I'm likely to take to review yours (though sometimes if I'm in a rush I'll write a quick one and finish up a better review afterward). But if the review is just, "Nice story, read and review mine please" I probably won't even review. That's...not a really good review.

I'd also like to mention that you don't just have to review my technical writing skills. I like to hear what you think of the story and characters too. That's what I enjoy most about writing after all, the story and characters...and I need to make sure that they're coming across the way I want them to.

But really, I love any sort of review (unless it's a flame) so please review away!

Interests

Most of my interests sort of center around Japan. It comes from the fact that I love anime and manga. I'm also getting near the proficient level for speaking and understanding Japanese. Though I can't read it at all. So unlike with raw anime, raw manga is useless for me if I don't have the translations.

Like everyone on here I'm immensely interested in writing. I don't know how it turned out that way. It just sort of did. I've been technically writing since I was in fourth grade. Technically meaning that I've only been thinking up the ideas but never putting them to paper. It's only been in the last few years that I've really started writing seriously and considering it as a real career.

Anime and manga are some other things that I'm really in to. You can't really get into it too much as far as explanations go without just rambling on. So, just know that I love anime and manga. Mostly shoujo anime and manga, or anything with a good romance or good emotional conflict. Right now I particularly like Tsubasa Chronicle and Shinshi Doumei Cross (The Gentlemen's Alliance).

As for regular books, I'm a Harry Potter fan, so J.K. Rowling is a definitely a favorite author. I've also read all of Tamora Pierce's books and love them all to death. They're so good! I want to be able to write as well as her someday.

(I tend to use these terms if I'm writing a story with Japanese characters, or that takes place in Japan. So that page includes some of the terms I use.)

Stories

Waiting for Eternal Winter
After returning to her home town and learning what she has feared is coming true, a girl begins a journey to find the one she loves most. A musical and memories of the past intertwine to create the future.

Author's Note: For once I am satisfied with the summary in the listings. Now, it's a sad story, so don't read it if you don't like those. It wasn't a real effort either. It was just an idea I wanted to get out of my head. You can complain to me that it's unoriginal all you want. I only wrote it to keep my skills from wasting away during a hiatus. It only took me a day to write and from what I've seen after re-reading it, there's some emotions and moments that seem superficial, but sometimes a story is just like that.

Night Angel of Tsukiyoru Gakuen (Stalled)
Takizawa Airi is as normal as a “User” can be. She’s a Year Two student at Tsukiyoru Gakuen in the Normal Class. She has a silly roommate who is her best friend and another friend that is incredibly cool and popular. She has a crush on likely the most popular boy in school, someone she’s admired for years; of course, another boy shows up that just seems to enjoy embarrassing her and won’t leave her alone!

But after a chest is delivered to her dorm, strange events start to unfold around her, changing her life forever. An important friend is lost and her school seems to be in danger from every side. What’s worse is that she’s the only one who knows that is able and willing to protect it. She’s allowed to spend the days with her crush and forced to spend nights with a boy she hates. All because the legend of a thief from ninety years ago has been resurrected and this time Airi is caught in the story.

Enemies that appear as friends and friends who may appear as enemies. A blurring between historical fact and legends of the past. And a strange dream somehow connected to a lullaby left by her mother. What awaits Airi at the end of the maze?

Author's Note: This is a story that's been in my mind for three years, although it's gone through many different forms. Finally, I ended up joining together two different stories, added in the romance that I wanted in it, and I came up with Night Angel. Originally it was meant to be called simply, Night Angel but I thought it seemed too unoriginal and I turned out to be right after searching the title here. But changing the title might mean changing the story, so I left it in and added in the name of the academy that the main character attends.

Basically, the story was created because I had a romance format in my mind but no matter what scenario I put it in, it didn't work. So I finally decided to change the romance in another story, but that didn't work. Then finally, by joining two stories together, adding in the romance, it made what I thought could be a good story. Yup...now I finally get to write out those scenes that have been in my mind for a while. What fun! I hope that some who read it will like it as much as I do!
