Author has written 16 stories for Song. I've been writing songs since I was able to talk, though that's not really writing and it was really short and strange. The first time I actually wrote a song down was in grade 5. Looking back on it now I realise how much my writing has improved. I love writing songs so much because it helps me get my emotions out in a way that's so much better then just saying it. Music is my passion in life. I'm rather open to music but i don't particularily like some types of music. I want to have a career that has to do with music, whatever it may be. Something as small as a music teacher, though that's actually not as small as some think, or a rock star. Some of my favorite bands are Simple Plan, Lonestar, Yellowcard, Hedley, Default, Great Big Sea, JET, Allister, Erase The Grey, Trustcompany, James Blunt, Garth Brooks, Our Lady Peace, Nickelback, Led Zepplin, AC/DC, Adam Gregory, Maroon 5, The Early November, 3 Doors Down and Goo Goo Dolls. To anyone just starting to write songs, remember that it's not about the writing the song that everyone likes, it's about writing the song you like. Never try to please the crowd, that's not what music is about. Music is about expressing yourself and your thoughts and feelings. Even if you're not writing because you love music, this still sings true to song-writing.
