For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.

~William Wordsworth ~

Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot...

Here, I'll try to make this somewhat personal.

Full Pen Name: Cornelius Arthur Talmadge I
Location: The United States of America, North America on planet Earth.
Position: Standing or sitting when not lying down.
Age: Old enough to know better, young enough not to care.
Appearance: Quite dashing to the sight-impaired, but otherwise quite .... average, I suppose.
Jenda': Male
Favourites: hmm.
I love skittles,
Old men (not in that way. not that there's anything wrong with that) I always cry when they die.
Shaun of the Dead
Meat
The Souls of Babies (only on weekends)
and
Myself. You can't wish to believe in anything if you can't believe in yourself.
Pet Peeves: Is that how you spell that? Anyway, hypocrites, athough, quite ironically I am one, and YOU! Just Kidding, I don't even know you...... Or do I? Do you check your windows when your on the computer? Did you just check it now? For this joke to work, I hope you did.
And now the Rambling: Howdy. I like filming, I like building, I like swimming, writing, and krilding. I like to act,I like to sing, Saldy though, I'm bad at each thing. I love to help people with all their troubles, I like playing tennis as long as its doubles. I care deeply for my friends, probably more then they for me, But I don't care, because they mean the world to me (Yes, I know, me and me is a lousy way to rhyme, but blah) No more rhyme, I don't have the time *giggle* Krilding is my word for ping pong. And there is no Cornelius Talmadge II, but it sounds much better that way.

My only goal in life is to be with someone I love and who loves me. I could be homeless, but if I still had that, I would die a happy, and awfully lucky man. Of course I would want to not be homeless, but I'd pick love anyday. As you will see, most of my poems are of love. Those that are not or mre than likely to be spirtual, or involved with winter. I think I have only written one poem about something else and that is the one called "Feeling" which is about a friend I care deeply for, but a friend she is and nothing more. My favorite poem I have made is "Winter" and my favorite poem by another is William Wordsworth's "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud."

~ Quotes ~

"If hopes were dreams then wishes would fly."
"I care for nobody, no not I, if nobody cares for me."
"I give hope to others, I leave none for myself."
"Life is made up of sobs, sniffles, and smiles, with sniffles predominating."
"I don't want to acheive immortalitythrough my work. I want to acheive immortality by not dying."
"Life is a struggle, and if you should ever feel really happy, be patient, this will pass."

And now for my final thought: The past is the past and should be treated as such. It does not do to dwell on such things. Live life according to your future, bury the worries of yesterday because your bound to get more tomorrow. Putting it behind you does not mean you shall forget, but it's a step closer to getting over.

As always, Cheers,

Cornelius Talmadge

1. Where I'm From
I adapted the format from an existing poem but substituted all my own experiences. It describes my childhood at my father's house as opposed to my mother's, before he passed away.

This poem is a very big achievement for me. I haven't written a new poem in over a year, a new love poem in over two, and I am really happy for this one. It describes a fleeting love which combines the dream of true love with the short reality.
