I am a Christian and also a budding amateur writer, like yourselves. I write based on personal experience, especially my relationships with other people and with God. I would really appreciate any and all feedback, anything to help me get better at writing. However I will not respect or respond to flames--that's not constructive criticism therefore it is worthless to me, unless you actually have a point. :)
Music really inspires me; here are a few of my favorite bands/singers/musicians: Evanescance, Nicole Nordeman, Yuki Kajiura, BarlowGirl, Three Doors Down, Michael W. Smith, Yanni, Nickelback, Enya, Sarah McLachlan, and Amy Grant.
I'm starting to get a feel for poetry, but I'm not the best at it, so any constructive crit would be loved. Seriously!!!
My works:
Bravery: A poem I literally wrote in less than 10 minutes. I was listening to one of my favorite songs, "Brave" by Nicole Nordeman, and was inspired...It means a lot to me since my name actually means Brave. I really like this one. :)
Love Me for Me: I'm not usually a romantically-minded person. I'm easily suspicious when people try to get close to me, because I don't want my feelings hurt. But God's different, and this poem shows my beliefs on that. Inspired by a song by ZOEgirl of the same name.
Everyone Needs God: Old poem, written who knows when. Inspired by various songs of similar theme.Humanity has become more self-absorbed, more independant; it's a sign of weakness if you have to depend on someone else, even if that other person is willing to let you lean on their shoulder. But sometimes, even the mighty will fall, and if you're alone, whose shoulder are you going to lean on?
