Why I Write: I love art. This is the art I've chosen.
My Story Style: I love writing stories. Many of them have some sort of personal value to them. When I get an idea, I can't help but write something down. Chaptered works are a bit tougher for me, mostly because it takes a significant amount of planning to get the whole thing going. Many of my works also have some sort of fantastic property to them. They usually involve some sort of twist or fantastic occurence. I love creating legacies for my characters as well.
My Poetry Style: Nature, family, love, spirit, anything enigmatic. My poetry is very passionate, and I do take what I write about pretty seriously (most of the time :D). I try not to dwell on single ideas; if I've written a poem about something, I try not to write about it again. But some things are just too important to me. I have a passion for writing poetry, so any advice, criticism, or reading would be appreciated to the highest degree.
Why I'm Here: I want the world to see my writings, but I also want to help out all the other writers on FictionPress with their aspirations. Many of you all also wish to write well, and I am willing to help everyone out. I take great pride and care in my work, but that doesn't mean it's the most important thing on this site. I'm willing to help out the writers of the world by striving to make their literary dreams come true as well. :)
My Own Work: I don't like critiquing my own work, but something always tells me how much better I can do. Orichalcum is a work that I started a long time ago, but want to continue. Asylum Walls is a newer piece, but I also was really surprised at how many people liked Goth Cheerleaders and Blockout. Thanks to all who read and critiqued my work!
UPDATE 5/03/08: A quick update: I recently posted a very personal piece: Beautiful. It's...well...I don't want to describe it too much for nervousness of revealing some of its anonymity. It may feel a bit obscure, but I treasure this piece a lot. Yeah, thanks to all who've reviewed it thus far; those who have have offered some great criticism. Feel free to read it; thanks again and look for me around FictionPress more these days.
UPDATE 5/02/08:After a long break, AK has finally returned. Don't worry about Asylum Walls and Orichalcum; I'm still contemplating where to go with both of them. Sorry to keep you all waiting for them. In the meantime, I'm posting poetry, still struggling with some personal issues. Remember to review; I do return them with my own reviews. I do like helping other writers with some constructive criticism.
UPDATE 6/02/07: As much as I should be writing songs for the Puppetmistress album, I feel that I need to officially discontinue it. But that doesn't mean I'll stop writing songs. There's a bigger project I'm planning, but I'm still questioning whether to publish it here or keep it for real publication. For all who loved Goth Cheerleaders, this new project could be something to look out for. Well, don't look for Puppetmistress, because it's done, even though it never really got started. I'm still working on Asylum Walls and Orichalcum, so look for either one of those or some stand-alone poetry from me in the coming times.
UPDATE 3/19/07: As much as everyone's been wanting a new Asylum Walls installment, I felt like Orichalcum needed to be elaborated upon. Orichalcum is a big piece for me, so look for Chapter 5. To all who read An Essay on Hypocrisy, I didn't do this for school. It is just my thoughts. Well, keep looking for Asylum Walls chapters. I'll try to get on that soon. Just remember; a little criticism can go a long way. :)
UPDATE 1/14/07: I'm so thrilled to see so many people reading Asylum Walls. Those who reviewed, I can't thank you all enough. I'm working to get this story going further. It's a project that I'm so eager to complete. To all of you who are patiently looking for the next installment, thank you. For now, look for poetry from me and keep looking out for another chapter.
Here's some summaries of my works I am currently working on:
Orichalcum:
A story of the Demon God Sennen and his accidental contractor Hoshiko. Sennen, after being imprisoned into eternal darkness, seeks revenge on the bloodlines of those who imprisoned him. Hoshiko, a young witch, mistakenly summons Sennen during an attempt to revive her fallen love. Now in the body of Hoshiko's love, Sennen travels the planet to destroy those who sealed him away.
Asylum Walls:
The story of a prisoner locked in a pitch-black room. Upon discovering the writing on the walls, the prisoner leaves his mind in the hands of intricate narratives of the people who used to dwell in the room. Reading line after line, he discovers stories written upon the asylum walls. A frame story with tales ranging from a princess to a criminal, all surrounding the story of the broken prisoner and his mysterious narrative.
The Burial Ground:
Four friends discover a dance club... in a cemetery? Now under a strange spell, the four friends are now the owners of the literally-underground club The Burial Ground, the biggest party scene for the supernatural! The four friends must keep their new hangout in tact while also dealing with some of the weirdest zombies, witches, and ghosts they've ever seen. A humor fic with some dark humor and a constant party atmosphere.
I promptly return any reviews that I receive, and I truly enjoy receiving messages. Thanks, and I hope you like my stories and poetry!
