Author has written 12 stories for Humor, Love, Life, Friendship, Nature, and General. My name is Justin Strawser! Ever since I can remember, I've always loved to write. I think of myself as a very creative person (short stories, poetry, Man-Beast, crudely-drawn comics, etc) andI would have to say that poetry is most likely my greatest talent but you know, don't take my word for it. I don't lead a very complicated life. I attend BloomU during the day, work at Arbys at night, and, if I'm up for it, hang out with friends sometimes on weeknights, but mostly on weekends. There's not a whole load of time for much else. I'm sure there's more, and if you're still reading, then I salute you. Ever since I could remember, I've always been found with a pen in my hand, not a pencil, because a pen is more realistic to how life is. You can't erase what you've done in life. It's permanent, it's lasting, and there's no ridding yourself of the decisions and consequences your have made. Such is the written word. Words are immortal. They have the power to undermine the strongest of armies. They have the potential to capture the hearts of a young lover. Twenty-six letters can be arranged in an unlimited fashion, complex statements can be assembled to transform the mentality of the public, and complicated paragraphs can reshape a society's views. There has always been something magical about bearing your soul onto the thin virgin sheets of paper. Words are powerful, and that is why I have chosen to use fictionpress to reach the masses. Hopefully, my words that were written in pen and now in cyberspace can affect you somehow, whether that is to inspire, to make you happy, to make you think, to change your life. | |||||||||
