Please consider submitting to my e-zine, Mirror Dance.
Mirror Dance is a free online magazine of Fantasy in all its forms. We are especially interested in publishing stories of political intrigue and settings that aren't commonly see in the genre, but all sub-genres will be considered. We are not accepting submissions of science fiction or horror, but dark fantasy will be considered.
Mirror Dance aims to publish five to nine stories, poems and other works in each of our quarterly issues.
Novice and teenage writers are especially encouraged to submit. Though lack of funds prevents us from paying for submissions, we hope publication in Mirror Dance will provide you with profitable exposure and a positive publishing experience.
Please see http://mirrordancefantasy.blogspot.com/2008/01/submissions.html for more information.
Dear Friend,
The fact that you have found your way to my profile leads me to assume that you've found me interesting, and for that I am flattered. If you do not, in fact, find me interesting, then this page will undoubtedly bore you even more and I suggest you find something better to do (check out my favorite authors, perhaps?).
As it is humanly impossible to describe an entire person (in this case, myself) on a single page of cyber-paper, I will only give a brief description of those points that will probably interest you.
I started writing about three years ago, and am very pleased to say that I've improved drastically from page one--and am getting better with every word. I should be fabulous by the end of this profile, eh?
In addition to my novel writing (not uploaded here, as all are works in progress and subject to vast reconstructions of plot and setting), I have also worked on a few short stories and literally hundreds of poems. But fear not, dear friend--not even one tenth of those poems will be judged suitable for your impressionable mind.
The only thing I love even half as much as writing is reading other people's work, and critiquing it. Hopefully my reviews come across as thoughtful and helpful, but if not...well, my apologies, your story probably put me out of my element (in a good way--I never review poorly written stories). If you have any stories that are not complete enough to upload onto this site, but still need an outside opinion, I would be happy to check them out--just send me an e-mail. I love epic fantasy, but science fiction (or, as it is known in the business, sf), horror, and some of the lesser explored areas of the fantasy genre also appeal to me.
I suppose that will have to do for now. If you ever need advice, a shoulder to cry on, or just someone to listen to you, the door to my in-box (and thus, my heart) is always open.
Yours,
Bitter Irony

If you're going to ask what I've been doing for the past year or so, the answer is pretty simple: trying to get stuff published. For that reason, poor little Decimal and equally poor and considerably more little The Circle have both been put on haitus. I hope to finish Decimal by the end of October 2008, but don't hold your breath--at my current outline, it may take me until January of '09 or longer.
If you liked a story of mine and can't find it on this page, it's probably been sold. No, I'm serious: publications are picky about that whole "exclusive" web rights thing. So feel free to message me asking "Where the heck did House of Shells go?" (the answer: it's currently in a slush pile somewhere: I'll tell you where if it gets accepted), but realize that it probably isn't coming back to FP.
