Oh, goody. It's time to talk about me! =D
You're
all probably wondering why my penname is "turtlechow" as it seems very
bizarre to most people. Well, my penname is turtlechow for two reasons:
one, I like turtles, and two, I like food. Now that I have
cleared the randomness and unorthodoxy of my penname up, I can go on to
talk about more important things.
I'm a college student that
hails from Michigan. I attend the University of Toledo, and I am
currently working on a dual degree in English and Adolescent
Education. At the moment, I am considering a minor in math or
philosophy (math if I'm feeling brave, philosophy if I'm not, neither
if I just feel too darn lazy to pursue them). I am proud to say
that in spite of being a freshman, I have a 4.0 GPA.
I do most of
my writing in the fantasy genre. I've had an ongoing 6-year
project for an as-of-yet untitled series that has evolved from a really
crummy short story (which I am happy to say, no copy, neither hard nor
virtual remains) to this massive five-book ordeal. I've got
everything but languages and titles. Languages are the easier of
the two, thank you ingenuity. Titles, not so much, but I'm
working on a title for version 7.0 of the first book, and if I deem it
worthy of being exposed to the public, then exposed it shall be.
When
I'm not writing, I'm either reading, attempting to draw, or watching
anime. I'm currently working on reading the top 100 novels of the
20th century (I have a list produced by Modern Library). I've
made it to 96. So far, 100 (The Magnificent Ambersons) was the best in my opinion, but I'm only 20 pages in to Sophie's Choice, and I'm starting to fall in love with it.
Unfortunately,
school and my job consume a considerable part of my life (I'm a "Pizza
Construction Engineer" at the local Pizza Hut, and boy is it a insert
appropriate explitives here), but I'll do my best to post random stuff
up here for the enjoyment of the reader and for my own amusement (i.e.
lack of feedback). So, yeah... that's pretty much all there is to
me; I lead a pretty boring life. Now that I have thorougly bored
you, go forth and enjoy the remainder of the site.
