First things first:

Real name's Carolyn- but everyone calls me Kai. (a really long story).

When people meet me for the first time, they might think I'm erratic and spacey, but normally they would be right. When it all boils down to it- I'm eccentrically eclectic. I'm a bit of a nerd- I love to read and listen to music- but my passion has always been writing. I spend 85 percent of my life daydreaming, the other 15 percent is for writing all about my daydreams.

The most annoying thing to me is ignorance and liars. If I could be rid of those to things, life would be great.

My fave bands at this current moment (because I'm so indecisive, I'm constantly changing) are the Mayday Parade and Anberlin. My fave TV shows right now is Dexter and the Tudors (I love Showtime shows). My fave books right now are Just Listen and The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen , although the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is running a close second. I like old movies and good 1990s B movies, so my fave movies are 10 Things I Hate About You and Lucky Number Slevin. My fave hot celebrity is Ethan Peck!

I'm 19 and I'm studying Early Childhood Ed at the University of Georgia- but I'm thinking about minoring in English just for the heck of it. The worst thing about me is my bad memory and my inability to carry on a decent conversation when I'm nervous. I'm looking forward to getting out of the town and live a little and hopefully I will figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life.

But really I have many different likes and dislikes, and my writing (I think) really reflects that. There are many issues that are writing worthy and sometimes I just grab an idea and run with it. Many of my stories are rush jobs- I'm in desperate need of a Beta reader, although I don't want to inconvenience anyone- therefore I haven't looked for one. Anyhoo, I like to write, if you're reading this I'm pretty sure you like to write too; so I think you'll enjoy my work!

So everyone reads, my first novel Hands Down and they fall head over heels in love with that story. I, for one, think it's crappy and deserves alot of work. SOOOOO- yes, I am doing a re-write. I do love the story concept, with the whole boy meets troubled girl, type racial issues thing. That is so up my alley, but I've made some major role reversals and new characterizations. Names will be changed and some new characters to enter the scene. So if you're a fan of Hand Down- the first one, then I think you'll love Hands Down: As Lovers Go.

It's been a while since I've posted a new story, I just posted this really cool story called Fighting, based somewhat off some events that occured during my Freshmen year at school. It's one of my most honest stories ever. I would recommend it to anyone and it taking up most of my creative focus right now.

Hands Down: As Lovers Go is still in progress, the main problem with the rewrite is that I feel the need to make it perfect. I got rid of an entire chapter because I wasn't happy with it. I;ve decided to take a step back from this project for a few months to clear my mind and start writing again. I have not given up on it, I'm just asking for a little patience to the readers. Meanwhile, I have other equally great stories posted, you could check those out while you wait for more Hands Down. :)
