Author has written 5 stories for Romance. Important Update: In less than one month I have been plagiarized more than two times. I consider myself a hobby writer - I don't think my work is great - so it pisses me off greatly when I see people take my creations. Now, as for 2009 - I have been plagiarized more than two times which is why I haven't been updating anything. I'm extremely thankful to one of my readers who alerted me that "I Hate You!" had been reposted. Not only did the person repost my story, but they had the nerve to use my pen name... backwards. You have no idea how angry that made me. I don't care if you're throwing me half credit by twisting my pen name up - you DO NOT take my work and put it up anywhere, period. This was definitely a flag telling me I made the right decision in stopping updates. Thanks times a million to the person who informed me of this, seriously. I'm not deleting my stories yet because I need proof that I made them, that I posted them on xxx dates because I am STILL tracking down other people who plagiarized my works. I need proof that I'm the original creator, that I posted these stories before the thief so that when I contact the site administrators they can see I'm telling the truth. The original post date remains and the last update date also remains, despite having deleted the chapters. I will put my work in my writing journal - where only a select few have a way to read. I didn't even know this was a widespread issue on here if I hadn't visited Myrika's profile since I hadn't finished reading one of her stories (which was nominated at TiRO - where I was judge) and saw her update. Why can't people just read a story - enjoy it - and link back, assuming they want to share it with others? Why do people with no talent take other people's hard work and say, "Oho, I wrote this - isn't it awesome." Well, not everyone can be mature and honest; this is life. However, I am removing all chapter content from my stories - I'm sick of this mess. And I may grow tired enough to delete the entire account. I have a real life and this cyber cop second job is kind of tiresome. I hope those immature brats grow up soon. Thanks to everyone who has supported me from the beginning. It was fun while it lasted. | |||||||||
