UPDATE JULY 16, 2007

The ninth was my birthday. Hooray! I'm still young enough to enjoy each passing year in my process of decomposition. Maybe when I hit thirty and my metabolism slows down I'll start to not tell people it's my birthday. Though on my actual birthday we didn't do anything, the day before was my mother's birthday and we celebrated our continuing decomposition together by eating sushi and chocolate cake, two of my favorite foods. She had sushi too, but she loaded it with soy sauce. Ugh!

And only yesterday did I actually recieve my presents- but oh my god, were they worth it. Tales of the Abyss for the Playstation 2 and a brand new shiny laptop! My old one was literally falling apart- the S key was ripped out, the hinges were out of whack, the screen had dead pixels and dents. Eyah. The battery was crap, too.

But Oh-Em-Gee. Tales of the Abyss.

Tales of the Abyss is pure sex. I haven't been this blown away by a game since... since... I really don't know. It's proving to be just as addictive as Tales of Symphonia, but with in-game graphics that put my former favorite to SHAME. Even the battle system feels smoother, and with the free-run skill that lets you run willy-nilly round the battlefield, I'm thinking that the TOTA section in fanfiction.net is going to get a little visit from me once I finish the game. Even though I'm a TOS junkie at heart, one must be mad not to fall in love with Colonel Jade Curtiss, aka Jade the Necromancer. At first I thought he was a fairy (forgive me Morgan) but as I played... I became certain he was flaming gay. And then suddenly we hear he's a necromancer in the army that collects dead corpses after war?! Whoa! He jumped right up top to my favorites list, since those who know me know that I love the crazy evil type. Even if he is gay, which I now doubt, I'd tap that. Repeatedly. Is there anything not to love about that man?

Now all I need to do is write a story where his evil incestuous twin brother appears to kill him, and he must fight him while discovering his true love for Asch, but Guy is trying to get in the way cause he wants to marry Jade!

Haha... sorry. I'm done.

Stories On the Site:

Immortal Games

Genre: Fantasy

Rating: T for violence and language.

Summary: Time flows differently when you travel between the worlds, so no one knows for certain when the barriers were set up. Perhaps twenty, perhaps 200 years ago, three competing powers sealed off their worlds from the rest of the infinite amount of worlds in Creation. Here on Earth, Des, a fifteen year old girl, had a brush with immortals from another world and was forever scarred by it, emotionally and physically. Far away, a boy of uncertain age lives among the immortals as something of a human 'experiment', unable to directly disobey his immortal master, the enigmatic agent Lon A. Naane. With situations like these, it's no wonder that the humans have forever avoided contact with the Immortals, who tend to view life as a game or brutal competition. But when the barriers between the worlds are cracked, the immortals come and play their games, and God only knows if man-kind will ever be able to compete. When the stakes are your life, you'd better learn quick.

Fun Facts: Immortal Games is my baby. Though there are only a few chapters up as of right now, the story has a depth that goes back almost six years ago when I created Destiny, Ridver the vampire, and Conner, then named Cleon. The main character of Immortal Games is Destiny's granddaughter. The story you see now is only the culmination of six years of planning, and even now it's still in rough draft form.

In Future Experiments

Genre: Horror/Humor (though there isn't much humor yet).

Rating: T for gore.

Summary: Alien bugs, why not! Julia and Amelia are two average murderers with a passion for evil alien bugs that they like to perform little scientific experiments with. Set in present times with (as of now) no weird fantasy connections. I'm not even sure they're alien bugs. They might be rare bugs from the darkest part of Africa.

Fun Facts: This was in response to a writing prompt. I remembered the time I had a heat-stroke, my vision went out of control and I felt as though something was squeezing my entire body, my head especially. I decided to add this plus alien bugs for an extra creepy factor. Because what's creepier than bugs?
