| King of Kings |
Author has written 7 stories for Fantasy, Supernatural, and Fantasy. "If I am an angel, paint me with black wings." (Armand, Anne Rice's 'The Vampire Armand') "A nightingale in a golden cage...That's me locked inside reality's maze...Come someone, make my heavy heart light...Come undone, bring me back to life (It all starts with a lullaby)..." ('The Escapist' - Nightwish) Greetings! It is I, King of Kings. I do not know why you are here, but I can only assume that if it was not an accident you probably want to know something about me, the person behind the stories. So, if you desire, refer down to the text below this. If you just want to read about my stories, skip this entire thing and go to the end. ;) Or, hell, to the stories themselves... PCQ (Possibly Considered Questions): Name? The name you shall know me by is King of Kings. Simple, ne? Yes, it did come from Triple H, if any of you are fellow Wrestling fans. I love the big-nosed muscle-man; one of the greatest wrestlers of all time! All power to DX! He's not THE greatest - that's the Undetaker, hands down - but he's up there...:D Gender? Actually, contrary to what you might presume from my oh-so-clever epithet, I'm female. If you were to read the author's notes I sometimes put up in my stories, that would be very clear. XD Also, I have no life...which is why I had time to write this. Eh. Age? I was born in 1992. Do the math. XD Yes, so maybe I am young. So what? I happen to think those who begin writing at a young age are at a great advantage from the beginning; it gives you time to evolve and create your writing identity. After all, humans go through the majority of their growth at the start of their lives, do they not? I've been writing for quite a few years already, and I assure you I'm a whole lot better than I was when I first started...whether or not I'm at the peak of my skills is something I can't say, but I suppose there's always room to improve...;) These are a few of my favorite things...: My all-time hero is Stephen King. If you're into amazing horror novels, I highly recommend him. Yeah, he's crude, but he is a writing GOD. XD If there is anyone who has helped me along my own writing path, although not directly, it is him. Aside from Lord of the Rings, of course, my favorite book series would have to be the Inheritance Cycle. Yes, that's right, I'll say it again: I...LOVE...ERAGON. And I am not ashamed to say it. I'll shout it from the rooftops. INHERITANCE ROCKS! XD Sure, Paolini's books are flawed, but what book isn't? Murtagh and Eragon rock my Dragon Rider socks, I don't care WHAT any of you say. XD I also am a big fan of Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles (Oh, my beautiful Louis...), the Harry Potter series (All hail the Dark Lord Voldemort!), the Twilight series (I can spell love in two words: Edward Cullen. No, make that four words: Edward Cullen, Jacob Black. Even though I didn't enjoy the fourth one as the rest...), the Chronicles of Narnia (Screw Peter, I bow to King Caspian the Seafarer!), and an assortment of other books I need not mention here. I'm a massive Anime freak, as well, but that's a whole OTHER story... XXX Info on my stories: "Put me to sleep, evil angel...Open your wings, evil angel...Fly over me...Why can't I breathe?" ('Evil Angel' - by Breaking Benjamin). "What I've felt, what I've known...Never shined through in what I've shown...Never be, never see...Won't see what might have been...What I've felt, what I've known...Never shined through in what I've shown...Never free, never me...So I dub thee unforgiven..." ('The Unforgiven' - by Metallica). Fire and Ice: "You humans...fear the darkness. You fear what you cannot see, what you cannot comprehend. There are things that go bump in the night, and you are terrified when they come into the light. It is the mystery that truly deters you. It wears many masks, holds many names, but there is really only one monster you fear...fear. You cannot destroy it, and so you learn to hate it. So tell me...are you still frightened by the demon under your bed, or the wolf that howls outside in the Moonlight?" "Neither." Hell yeah! Two years old and still going strong... This is without a doubt my main story, and my undisputed favorite. It started out as a Naruto fanfiction, but when I saw how I was screwing up the world of Naruto (and Naruto himself...I actually made him say 'Believe it' - TWICE - and that's like...blasphamey...), I decided to try this as an original. I like this version much, much better. I've been writing the story from it's humble Narutoic beginnings for about two, three years now, and I have never been so fond of this tale...I hope you like it, as well. ;) Be prepared, though - I plan for this to be at least four books, although the way things are looking now it'll probably be five. Knowing me, it might even be six. XP It's been a long, hard road so far...and there's no end in sight. XD Summary: They told him he was the most powerful being in existance. That no one - and nothing - could, or would, oppose him. But, oh, were they ever wrong. They were wrong...so wrong. There was one other whose power mirrored his own - his opposite, his brother, his adversary. The ensuing battle would serve to bring about the end of an eternal war...and determine the ultimate fate of the world. In a war that cannot be won, which side will he choose? Which side can he choose? xx "Hell is still overburdened...I must stand and wait in line...Hell is still overburdened...How have I been so determined malign?/Fate is so unkind...Now I should have known...Blind leading the blind...Reaping all I've sown...If it all amounts to nothing...Why then am I standing in this line?" ('Overburdened' - by Disturbed) "Carry on my wayward son...There'll be peace when you are done...Lay your weary head to rest...Don't you cry no more..." ('Carry On My Wayward Son' - by Kansas) Wherever I May Roam: "Wherever we may roam, where we lay our heads is home." This story has officially been placed on indefinite hold. Actually, I have begun a major rewrite of the entire thing; it should look much different when it is done. Until then, my sincerest apologies! Yes, the title (and the little catch-phrase there) was inspired by Metallica. ;) The story itself, however, was inspired by nothing more than my over-active imagination and the lovely show Charmed. Actually, to be more percise, the awesome characters of Leo and Cole (the only real good things about Charmed - hot as hell and awesome all around! Go Julian McMahon and Brian Krause! XD). I do not know how I came to regard them the way I eventually did, but it ultimately led to this story. I had initially planned for this to be a fanfic, but alas, this was born to be an original. -pauses-...That's probably a good thing. Summary: We are Hunters. We have no name, no identity. We are merely here, eternal, a given in this world. We know not of what we are; we have no purpose. At least...that we have found so far. This is a story of the journey of two boys, one of which is a half-demon, the other a being without a name. The story follows their journey in search of an identity, a reason. They go through many names, many identities...will they ever find who they truly are, who they were meant to be? xx "Put the gun in my mouth, and pull the trigger...I feel so alive here...Put the gun in my mouth, it tastes so bitter...I feel so alive here..." ('No Jesus Christ' - by Seether). "I will lose my mind...Make it real this time...To leave it all behind...I won't cry wolf...Show me a sign...Planets will align...I'm gonna blow my mind...I won't cry wolf (I'm holding on too tight)..." ('Planets' - by Adema). Forgive and Forget: "You seem confused, Father. Do you not recognize your own creation?" 'Forgive and Forget' is a new thing for me, actually. This is my first attempt at a story in a modern-day setting...although still in a town of my creation. ;) The allure of using guns in a story was simply too strong. XD It is still fantasy, however, and not at all devoid of magic, supernatural beings, immortality, sold souls, weird ladies, telapathic abilities, and my all-time favorite, unfathomable power. I do not have much of an idea as to where I am going with this lovely piece concering revenge, love, betrayal and demonic spirits, but the plot is slowly forming... Summary: Forgive and Forget. I have heard it more than once before. Yet how can I forgive when he never allows me to forget? I sold my soul to kill him, and so...I pursue him. For I cannot forget, and I will never forgive. Four hundred years ago, in the time of the five nations of the Haudenosaunee - what are now known as the Iroquois - there was a sixth nation, now little more than legend. This lost tribe were not human at all, but the 'Whisperers', ones with the ability to communticate with animals through emotions and images. Sean Morgan, once known as Aldae, was a the 'Wolf Whisperer', one who communicated with wolves. Centuries before, he watched his entire clan be destroyed by a man he knew closely...his own father. Now they are all that remains of the greatest clan of the Haudenosaunee, and Sean and his wolf, Serrah, are still in pursuit of the one who shattered all they knew, with only one thing in mind: revenge. However, as Sean will soon discover, there is more to this than he could have ever imagined... xx "Only the strongest will survive...Lead me to Heaven when we die...I am the shadow on the wall...I'll be the one to save us all..." ('Blow Me Away' - by Breaking Benjamin) "Wake me up inside...Call my name and save me from the dark...Bid my blood to run...Before I come undone...Save me from the nothing I've become..." ('Bring me to life' - by Evanescence) Darkest Light: "I saw you...in my dreams." "As I have seen you." This story, like 'Forgive and Forget', is a sort of experiment. This lovely tale is my attempt at a more 'traditional' sort of fantasy. That is to say, the ever-popular 'hero saves distressed world' plotline...with all my own little additions and ideas mixed in, of course. All my favorites can be found within - an unsuspecting, endangered world, a lovely princess, a reluctant hero, hot princes, even hotter (and colder) Telcom dragons, and power beyond that which any mortal would dare dream of...and more. ;) This was actually inspired by numerous things, namely The Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess (can you guess why? Heh. Go Link! XD), Eragon, and Narnia: Prince Caspian (All hail Caspian! XD) Summary: Matias never wanted to be a hero. All he wished was to clear his name, but when he inadvertantly stumbles upon an ancient power, he discovers his life has more meaning than he once thought it did... Five centuries before, the two great Lands were threatened by an arcane power, harbored by two ancient dragons: Nova and Nebulae, the last and most potent of their kind. The dragons were sealed away, but when Nova is awakened once again, Princess Dases finds her kingdom and everything she has ever loved threatened by a force she knows there is only one way to stop...something which may put her world in even greater danger. Faced with an impossible choice, she soon crosses paths with Matias, a young fugitive wrongfully accused of murder whom she discovers has unwittingly come to possess exactly what she is looking for. Now Matias finds he is the only one who can rescue the world again - but will he? XX "Seasons don't fear the reaper...Nor do the wind, the sun, or the rain...(We can be like they are)...Come on, baby...(Don't fear the reaper)...Take my hand...We'll be able to fly...Don't fear the reaper..." ((Don't Fear) the Reaper' - by Blue Oyster Cult) "Fallen from grace...Help me rise again...Fallen from grace...Help me through..." ('Grace' - by Within Temptation) Gatekeeper: "Like it wanted you to choose to become its prey..." I had the basic idea for this story bouncing around my over-cluttered head for a few years before I began to seriously work on it. It occurred to me after reading a little article about the Big Grey Man (or 'Fear Liath Mor', if you prefer) in a book of 'One Hundred Strangest Mysteries'. Something about the prospect captivated me, and I toyed with the idea of doing a oneshot based on the reports, but ultimately rejected it. In the end, the vague phantom of inspiration developed into this novella of sorts. This is actually something of a remade version of an old work I have since dropped, entitled 'Look Who's Laughing Now'. The two are very different, but the essential idea is almost the same, and some of the elements I used in 'Look Who's Laughing Now' I have integrated into 'Gatekeeper'. I personally like this one much better, and I intend to take this one to the end. Summary: There were always rumors of an unknown menace lurking upon a mysterious mountain. It would be at the heart of these legends that an orphan boy with a enigmatic past would find the truth of his fate... Andreas had never felt as if he truly belonged. Orphaned as an infant and abandoned on the doorstep of an orphanage, with no known family or origin, he had always felt a little different, a little out of place among the rest of the world. When his adoptive father unexpectedly dies from a fall off Scottland's Ben MacDhui, and he begins to be continuously haunted by a frightening dream, he finds himself inexplicably and irresistably compelled to the mountain. Here, the answers he never thought he would find are unravelled one by one, entwined in the legends of an ominous entity which lurks in wait atop the misty summit... XX "In your creation, Heaven did decree...That in your arms sweet death should dwell/The age will say, "This poet lies"...Heaven never touched earthly face...The age will say, "This night was ours"...Blessed with the deep, the silent, the complete..." ('Deep Silent Complete' - by Nightwish) "Fool...Dance with me again...I am your destiny, mark my words...Don't you ever disagree...Fool...Kneel for me again...I am your agony, walk my way...I will never set you free..." ('Fools of Damnation' - by Epica) Harbinger of Dissolution: "The gods decide our fate!" "We are gods." This story - or at least, its general plotline - is my oldest and, after Fire and Ice, my second most intricate. It has been with me for about seven years now. In fact, the first version of this was the very first novel I ever attempted...and quite possibly the worst piece if literature ever composed. Seriously. I actually threw the damn thing out because the awareness of its very presence became unbearable. -sigh- I cannot believe I actually showed it to an English teacher. Hell, I bragged about it! Well...anyway. Now I am seven years older and seven years wiser (so I hope), and I have decided to pick this story up again. I always liked the idea, even if my initial endeavor to write it failed. Utterly. Its origin is a tale in itself - a long story about nothing, as they say - but suffice to say, it was inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh! Yes, Yu-Gi-Oh! More specifically, its Egyptian theme. This is what inspired me to begin to study Egyptian history...and lo' and behold, I discovered my third greatest passion, after writing and astronomy. Thus, over time, this was born. The story has always been near to my heart, and I sincerely hope I can now make this into a much better work than it began as. Most of all, I hope you can all enjoy it as much as I have over the years I have been developing it. Summary: Seven young Egyptians bound by much more than fate find themselves at the core of an eons-old war. If history is only perpetual repetition, the battle will never end...but if the past can be erased, and destiny changed, at last a victor will be crowned. XXX Well, since nigh everyone else is doing them, I see no reason why I should leave myself out. Here's my favorite quotes! ;) I'll add as I discover them and/or think of more: "You will suffer me." -Aragorn, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Denthor: "Abandon your posts! Flee, flee for your lives!" Gandalf (whacks him over the head with his staff; there is a moment of silence): "Prepare for battle!" - Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. (After Legolas kills a giant Elephant with his bare hands) Gimli: (pause) "That still only counts as one!" - Return of the King "Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?" - Gimli, Return of the King "A day may come when the courage of men fails. When we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves, and shattered sheilds when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!" - Aragorn, Return of the King. (Try and tell me hearing him say that does not make you want to grab the nearest sword and run off to battle!) "You shall not pass!" - Gandalf, LOTR, Fellowship of the Ring "A wizard is never late. Nor is he early. He arrives exactly when he means to." - Gandalf, Fellowship of the Ring. "Yes, I am a mouse." - Reepicheep, Narnia: Prince Caspian "You people have no imagination!" - Reepicheep, Prince Caspian "You know, when I had a brain, I was twice as scared as I am now with only half a brain. Which means if I had no brain at all I would be four times braver than I was when I was brainy!" - Glitch, Tin Man Diego: (about a sword) "Do you know how to use that thing?" Alejandro: "Yes. Pointy end goes in the other man." Diego: "...This is going to take a lot of work." - Mask of Zorro. "Why so serious?" - Joker, The Dark Knight Professer Xavier: "Keep smoking that in here and you'll spend the rest of your days believing you are an eight-year-old girl." Wolverine: "You'd do that?" Xavier: "I'd have Jean braid your hair." - X-Men 2, X-Men United. (When Pepper walks in on him attempting to take off the suit) "Let's face it, this is not the worst thing you've caught me doing." - Tony Stark, Iron Man. "Remember, remember, the fifth of November, the gunpowder, treason, and plot. I know no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot." - V, V for Vendetta. V: "I am a man in a mask." Evey: "I can see that." V: "Of course you can. I am not questioning your powers of observation, I am merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is." Evey: "Oh...right." - V for Vendetta. (When Victor Frankenstein holds a sword up to his chest) "You can't kill me, Victor." (Moves forward so the blade impales him through the heart) "I'm already dead." - Dracula, Van Helsing. "I have no heart! I feel no love! No fear...no joy...no sorrow. I am...hollow. And I will live...forever." - Dracula, Van Helsing. Anna: "Some say you are a murderer, Mr. Van Helsing. Others say you are a holy man. Which is it?" Helsing: "A little of both, I think." - Van Helsing. Helsing: "There's a brighter side of death?" Anna: "Yes. It's just harder to see." - Van Helsing Valkien: "I would rather die than help you!" Dracula: "Oh, don't be boring. Everyone who says that dies." - Van Helsing. "It must be such a burden...such a curse...to be the left hand of God." - Dracula, Van Helsing. Anna: "For me this is all personal. It's all about family and honor. What do you get out of it?" Helsing: "I don't know. Maybe some self-realization." Anna: "What have you gotten out of it so far?" Helsing: "Nightmares." - Van Helsing. "Your body is dying. Pay no attention. Happens to us all." - Lestat, Interview with the Vampire "You are what you are, Louis!" (When Louis is gone, whispers to himself) "Merciful death. How you love your precious guilt." - Lestat, Interview with the Vampire. One last departing note: My policy is, if you review me, I will return the much-appreciated favor and review you as well. Not much else needs to be said. ;) | |||||||||
