Author has written 7 stories for Young Adult, Life, School, Nature, Fantasy, and General. Hello, anyone who bothers themselves to read this. My name is Zappanale...I'm a hopeful writer, like almost everyone else on FictionPress. I've published a few stories, which you can see in this profile. I enjoy reading crime, western, and classicalfiction as far as books go. My taste in moves run towards the surreal end of things; I'm a big David Lynch fan. My taste is music is pretty similar, I've recently gotten into Animal Collective and other "indie" bands a lot, but retain a strong following to the classics (at least, of my youth): Bob Dylan, REM. I'm currently working on Space Lion and a follow-up to my Western story Lavinia. Please give some of my work a read, and maybe drop a review, if you have the time. Heh...thanks. Update: 18 October 2006 I've been working on Space Lion and Savage, although both will be slow in the coming. In personal news, I've picked up a copy of Cormac McCarthy's No Country for Old Men, which I highly reccomend. That and his novel Blood Meridian, or The Evening Redness in the West, a spectacular Western on which Lavinia is inspired. Update: 13 November 2008 I'm mostly writing poetry at the moment, and my short stories will probably begin to run less towards crime/Western/etc. themed to romance or the always indescribable things you'd find in the "literature" section of the bookstores. | |||||||||
