Greetings! You have entered the Domain of Profile /u/527823/. I am Bob Evans, the Overseer of this Realm. Welcome!

The Back Story: A long time ago, I came to this site a young, untested writer with a passion.

Well, not a whole lot has changed.

Among other things, I worked with a group of fellow writers in developing a series of books that would form the Seminary Gang story arc. Around the time we finished that, I left Fiction Press to attend to other duties in the real world, and had not looked back since. Until now, that is.

I am here to make a return, mostly to write for fun and share little pet projects with those willing to read. My ultimate plan is still to be published, and I am working away mightily on that endeavor. Along the way, as I have little things to share, and you in turn have things you would like to share with me, I feel we can use this site to our mutual edification. We are all storytellers here, and my do we have some stories to tell.

Where We Are Now: From Initiative-8 up are current and on-going stories. These are hopefully a little more professional in tone and style. I promise I have learned a thing or two about writing since my high school days. But if you so choose, you are quite welcome to skim through the older entries down yonder in years past. I feel that behind the façade of grammatical errors and untried writing style there is still entertainment value.

Of Influences and Interests: While I'm always open to any requests that I take a particular look at someone's story, I must warn you I am a biased reader. You may be one of the best historical fiction writers of your day, but odds are I probably will not have much to offer in the way of a good review. I know what I like, and it shows pretty strongly in my writing style.

So let me throw some names out there that you might be familiar with. Tom Clancy. I love all things warfare, specifically in modern times. Michael Crichton. Techno thrillers are a win. Orson Scott Card. If you know him and of his writings, then 'nuff said. If not, I suggest you look up Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. That is explanation enough. Philip Reeve. Specifically, the Hungry City Chronicles. All things post-apocalyptic. And last but not least, every last one of the novels in the Halo series, based off of the award winning Xbox game series. I am a Space-Sci-fi junkie. Deal with it.

If anything on this list or the associated theme is up your alley, then congratulations! You may find your visit here worth your while. If not, do not give up hope just yet (on me or having me read one of your stories). Sometimes a marvelous character or interesting piece of fiction can still capture our imagination when we might normally say "meh." Isn't that the wonderful thing about fiction? You never know what's gonna get ya.

Conclusions: Be warned, I'm a full-time student and part-time employee. Nothing is set in stone. Nor are my up and coming projects. You may find yourself irritated by my randomocity, but hey, that's what you get with a site like this. No deadlines means no guarantees!

Addendum May 1st, 2012 (in regards to purchasing copyrights): In the last couple of weeks I've been contacted by two separate individuals on Fiction Press who expressed an interest in purchasing the copyrights to various stories currently posted on my profile. While I am always interested in pursuing the publication route, I tend to stay cautious towards freelancers who have no credentials to share when bringing business ventures to the table. If you really are interested in selling my stories, I need some proof that you're a professional. Otherwise, I don't foresee any transactions on my part. Make your decisions accordingly.
