A Few Short Questions:
Who? Alyssa is my birth name, but everyone has their own nickname for me. In other words, call me anything you like.
What? Writer, photographer, doodler, nerd, reader... If I am what I do, I'm kinda strange. My family says insane/mental/loco/crazy/weird on the rare occasion, but I enjoy what I do.
When? December 20, 1991. Do the math.
Where? For simplicity's sake, I live on the internet, behind a camera lens and through a pen and paper.
Why? I like to write, so I post some of my works. I like to read, so I review when I can. Words appeal to me.
(I'll omit "How?"... 5 questions seems good enough)
A few Answers...
I'm working on some short stories and some other stories, but I'm such a perfectionist, they're still works in progress. Don't expect much for a while... I have no direction at the moment, so I'm working on directing myself in relation to my hobbies, etc. Feel free to nudge me, if you want me to write something specific or suggest something or actually post something... My self-motivation is being used elsewhere, but can be redirected with a couple words (such as... "Get on your lazy butt and edit and/or write!"...).
I've been working on photography and posting it on dA (http://anjollie131415.deviantart.com/) and yeah... I've been writing too, but I haven't been typing much of anything up to post. It's all in ink and graphite.
Yes, I know Andy has a repetitiveness, Emily's Sea has 1? chapter and I still haven't editted as much as I need to. I'll work on it... eventually. As much as I have that time-is-running-out feeling, there is a bunch of time (supposedly). I'll get around to all that great stuff soon.
Anyway...
Other:
Hm... I love writing, but I neither edit nor post as often as I could. Currently, I'm working on some short stories, novels and poetry. By "working" I mean chipping away every so often. I can't explain why I don't just sit down and write. It's a fear and a desire which tear at each other. I want to post a story here and a short story or 2, but I'm very picky when it comes to my works anyway. I have some chapters and short stories up, but most were assignments at one point in time or I'm just not posting them anymore because I keep changing parts.
I do write a lot, so don't you dare tell me I don't write enough to love writing. Ask anyone who really knows me. I always have a notebook (or at least paper) and a writing utensil just in case I feel the need to write. It's just interesting how many little scraps of paper with ideas and such I have. It's no surprise though. I like to collect things here and there, then organize them. It sounds flowery and silly, but it's a part of me.
I also love learning. I just graduated from high school. If you did the math, I'm 16. I skipped 4th grade and did my junior/senior years in 1 year. Why? Why not? I'm ready to go beyond high school. I'm going to Costa Rica. I'm going to college. I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'll be learning that and so much more on my way.
Here's an amusing tidbit: I play piano. My cousin plays viola. Together we jam to Bond music (the quartet: 2 violins, 1 viola and 1 cello). When not playing Bond music, I play bits of songs or sometimes I even start working out tunes to my own (I have evidence, but it's not in video form yet). I have a Youtube account http://www.youtube.com/user/raining3daisies. Maybe you'll see me playing music on it someday. For now, I'm just admiring others. Feel free to laugh at what videos I do have.
I must add one thing: When I say fun, it most likely doesn't mean the normal concept of fun. Fun for me is dull and lame to many people. When I say fun, I'm usually using it in relation to what I percieve as other people's ideas of fun. If I used my idea of fun, I'm not sure many people would understand my context...
Well, that's all for now. Enjoy life.
p.s. I'm prone to lulls, so if you watch me, allow me to inform you on how I work. I wait a few months, type a few works up and post them all at the same time. The process continues to repeat. I'm sorry in advance for any e-mail jams...
