I'm a new writer. I have always enjoyed reading and I always wanted one day to be able to write. Well now I am. I welcome any feedback from anyone on Fiction Press. If you have any tips or suggestions or comments or anything to share, I would greatly appreciate it. Although, I am not a pro at writing, I will make a few reviews of some stuff, at least to tell you if I like it or not. Most of my writings are spontaneous, reflecting how I feel. I seem to gravitate more towards writing poetry, but I do wish to publish a short story and maybe a short novel... Happy Writing to everyone out there in Fiction Press!

update: at least one person has mentioned that some of my poetry doesn't have imagry and metephor. do others agree? i am not good with such things but i would like to be, so that i can have more ways to express creatively what i am trying to say. does anyone have any suggestions. thanks. : )

update: i am trying to post a new poem and soon a first chapter for a story. but every time i try to post the poem, it get a stupid error message. so be patient... and thanks again to all who read and review my stuff. happy holidays to everyone this season. :)

update: yay!! i got to post my poem from last time. and i have posted not one but two chapters of my new story. it's called Spoken Disease. enjoy and thanks to those who read and review. : )

i don't update it too often (although i'd like too) but if you read it and wish to comment or discuss anything there, i will be happy to respond. : )

also i have to agree with Embellished Heart - writing is a form of expression. with fiction, you can write whatever, but most often it seems that writers write based on what they know or have experienced. there are some exceptionally creative writers who come up with stuff from thin air - like M.Night Shamalan (ck sp). his stuff is so bizarre i can't imagine that he has experienced any of that stuff! but we aren't all like him. we are all creative in our own way and i hope that everyone here continues to write to their hearts desire. :D

update: i've decided to change the format of my story 'Spoken Disease'. don't be surprised if you don't see it up for a while or if it looks different. the story itself will stay the same, but the way the story is told will be a little different. somehow i am envisioning this being a part of a series of stories... if i don't take it down yet to edit it, that's cause although i have an idea how i want it done, but right now i am kinda busy dealing with other stuff at the moment. sigh, the life of a closet writer! if my life were 24/7 writing though, i'd probably go nuts...

update (2.25.08): haha, during the process of unpacking some old stuff from storage, i found a couple of old stories i wrote a long time ago. talk about old memories. none of them have any ending but i think i'll post them anyway. they are all untitled too so that will be weird... they're all hand written (gasp) so i have go through the process of actually typing them. anyway, they should be up in a day or two. read, review, and if anyone has any suggestions for a finish or continuance of the story line, i'd be happy to entertain them. enjoy!

update (5/2/08): hey everyone. thanks to all my readers, i apologize if i haven't been able to read much stuff. i have two myspace pages, fictionpress, four email addresses and a blog to keep up with on the internet so at the moment, i'm maxed out. however i will get around to taking a couple of hours to just read some of ya'lls stuff out there. if i read yours and i review, please return the favor if you can. at least tell me if you like it or not. i recently mentioned that i was gonna edit Spoken Disease, well i still am. i have decided not to take it down though, but instead as i make changes i will simply update the story. someone told me Spoken Disease is disturbing, so does anyone else agree? i am interested but i won't change the content, just the story format. once the story is finished, ya'll will understand why it is so graphic and disturbing. i already have the ending in mind, but like any good book, you'll just have to wait and see. ;-)

update(7/24/08): hello to all y'all readers on this glorious internet technology!! how is everyone out there doing? well once again i must say thank you to my readers. those of you who have read and reviewed have been very gracious and kind with your reviews. if i have read any of your stuff or said i would read your stuff, rest assured i will. one day soon i will take a whole day and read tons of stuff and review as much as i can. i love to read as much as i love to write! i would like to introduce y'all to a new writer here on fiction press, the pen name is Skyefirecat and is listed on my favorite authors' list. please read and review her stuff and enjoy. her writing is intelligent and emotional at the same time. lovely i might say. of course she is my friend so you might think i'm being biased but i'm not! anyway, read her stuff and if you like it, let her know. i know she would appreciate the encouragement. happy writing and happy reading to y'all!! =)
