.:ll Brief Introduction ll:.

Welcome, dear readers, to my profile.

I'd like to take up the opportunity here to firstly thank you for whatever reason you have to visit my profile. It's very much appreciated, and to those who read and reviewed my stories, further thanks to you all. I write mainly for pleasure, but I also write because I want to improve; I have quite a lot of people wanting to see me as a published author one day, and I hope I can make them proud by being one. One day. For now, I'll settle with short stories and simple novels - I might try and publish soon, but I can't say so for sure just yet. After all, my life can be pretty hectic at times without the need for additional stress and anxiety.

I acquire my writing style from the books I read. Books by Kevin Brooks and Marcus Sedgwick greatly influence how I write my stories, so if you're bored and you want to read, I recommend both authors. Also, I like to write stories that metaphors a situation that I have been through in the past, or situations that are/have/will happen in the world right now. I won't say that my stories are all realistic, but they metaphor it if you decide to have a think about things. Each story of mine contains a basic message that I'd like to pass out, but they're more noticed in my recent works as opposed to my past works. But of course, you can still read my stories without noticing anything of the sort. That's up to you as a reader.

More about myself: If you haven't guessed already from my name, my gender is female unless if the world horribly sucks in anatomy and is all a lie - which I hope it isn't. I'm very mature for my age, or so I've been told, and I'm very open-minded about things; I don't find it hard to accept anything that people don't consider as "normal". I can be very deep at times, but sometimes, I can be so childish that it borders comical. I have a belief also that we humans are all individuals with different ways of thinking, different reasons to do something, and that one person can never fully understand another. They can only guess and try to imagine, but they won't know what the exact feeling is. Therefore, I'm a type of person who never judges and never groups, and above everything else, I'll always try to understand. I am highly religious - I believe that if there's anyone who can possibly judge us human beings, it will be God, and no other human being. What do we know about that other person to judge them? That's what I think anyway.

I'm a good listener, I'm trustworthy, an absolute bookworm and book-fanatic, friendly, and I love to meet new people and make new friends, so drop a word! I can be extremely funny when the mood strikes me and probably spark off quote-worthy remarks now and then which I hope won't scare you away. I despise racists who never tries to give a chance in knowing someone just because of their colour/religion (and pretty much anything in the same concept) and I don't like people who swear a lot just because they can. I'm a horrible liar, but I get my way around the world okay enough, and so far... that's all I'm going to say. I'll be happy to befriend anyone.

Thanks again for reading, and I hope you'll drop a word behind, whether in the form of a review or a PM. I'd love to hear your opinions and whether there are things that I can improve - because I know there are a lot!

.:ll My Human Prompts - The Culprits ll:.

I'll also want to mention here about a few people who are mainly responsible (gosh, I make this sound like a crime) for pushing me towards my own fiction-writing. I started off with fanfictions, and it's only, really, since the start of 2007-ish that I started my own fiction writing. The culprits for this horrible crime are:

Ayu Min and Rionell (S e i y) (from Gaiaonline) » These two online friends of mine are two of the best people I've ever known. I met them through the best roleplay in my life, but at the time, I was so horrible at roleplaying that it's... insulting. But I still keep the RP, of course. I shall not forget how bad I started out to be. But they both, Ayu most especially, kept on encouraging me and said that they enjoy RPing with me, to the point that from the start till end of the roleplay, you can see a definite change as you go along. I got better, and I loved writing more and more. Fanfictions seemed so lame and boring compared to the delight I experienced roleplaying with these two. Not to mention, of course, gaining another close RP friend, serenewolf1 (Lu as I call her) who did just as much as Ayu and Rionell.

The WC/WF from Gaiaonline» This group is responsible for giving me so many awesome writing contests, support and feedback. They are my prompts to continue writing, so to speak. To say the least, the ones highly responsible are .days. , Imoto Lehcar and Psychotic Maniacal Sanity. There are loads others, of course, who helped me improve constantly, and the competition between the regulars of the WC/WF is remarkable. It got me addicted to writing.

Mr. Case (from Hinde House School Library) » This person is a real-life friend of mine - a librarian from my school. He reads and reviews my work with all the honesty to shape my style and help me find the right genre I'm comfortable with. He recommends books to me, teaches me the different genres and styles available out there, and also took me to see various authors to get my interest growing more than to just publish online. I've never wanted to be a published author so much, until I met him.

.:ll Extended Notes ll:.

The Sci-Fi Oneshot Series: There will be five stories in total for this series of linked one-shots. Though they are linked, the stories can also be read individually and I might actually work on this further to create a novita. Though quite a lot of the pieces are romance-based, the main message from the series is about the irony in life and how things never seem to appear how you want it to be. The five stories involved in this series (in no particular order) are:

» Unidentical Reflection - Set in the future. Alphonse Rise sacrifices his love for Lynette in order to continue fighting for the future of mankind.
» A Metaphor - Set in the past. Alice wanted nothing more than to be human, but when Michael Atkins, the love of her life, showed her what it really feels to be human sometimes, she began to see the world in a clearer view.
» A Predator's Fallacy - Set in the present. Kenny Rise lost his memory of being an experiment when he was found alone on the beach, barely conscious. Taken in by Michael Atkins, he would then need to learn the truth again and how to deal with it.
» Same Aims, Different Beliefs - Set in the past. Dr. Alphonse Sawyer loses his son from an act of revenge from his own brother-in-law. Because of this, he changed his beliefs and took a different approach to get what he wanted. This is the story in how, and why, he joined the laboratory to meddle with human lives.
» Change My Life - Set in the present (after 'A Predator's Fallacy'). In which Kenny Rise and Michael Atkins meet each other again, and Kenny learns that just because he thinks something is right, it doesn't mean that the 'right' can always be right for a situation.
» (Possible novella in plan)

.:ll (Possible) Future/Current Works ll:.

» (Currently Untitled) Novella - This novella ties together all five stories from "The Sci-Fi Oneshot Series". There would possibly be familiar characters, and the novella focuses on war, friendship, and the effects of it on your typical teenager. Most of the storyline is still in plan.

» Elemental Flow - A manga storyline. Five Elementalists are found trapped in the Edisen Mansion as a result of a tragedy and curse a few decades ago. Wanting nothing more than to have a home, be appreciated and loved like everyone else, they try to find a way to go back to their original forms: Air, Water, Earth, Fire and Spirit. When a young girl stumbles across the place, they learn more about what they were really wishing for. (In-Progress - Hiatus)

» Zero Tolerance - A collection of songs written by Ruben Beckett. Some for himself, and some from his band, Zero Tolerance.

» Transparent Reflection - A rewritten version of a draft story I have once worked with a very old 'writing partner' about a romance story between a human and a ghost. Will also contain a many elements of a mystery inspired by an old roleplay I have joined, similar to the draft story. Most of the storyline still in plan. (In-Progress)

» Just Victims - A novel, which may or may not be put up here. About a boy, Seth, who belonged to a group made to kill. A boy without the ability to love, who then wonders if he is or is not in love with a girl he meets after the chaos of war. (First draft written - Now editing)

» Keep Walking - When you know what you're going to lose, and when you're going to lose it, try your best to get the most out of it. A story about two friends, so close they knew each other inside out and backwards, who struggles through the general challenges that life offers. About two friends who wishes to get the most out of their friendship until they're forced to separate, only that the "most" may never be enough. (A too-simplified version can be read: 'No Excuse for Regret')

.:ll Memorable Quotes ll:.

"Whenever you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." -- Sherlock Holmes

"I never guess. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts." -- Sherlock Holmes

"Many that live deserve death. And some die that deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then be not too eager to deal out death in the name of justice, fearing for your own safety. Even the wise cannot see all ends." -- JRR Tolkien

"Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open." -- JK Rowling

"I love quotations because it is a joy to find thoughts one might have, beautifully expressed with much authority by someone recognized wiser than oneself." -- Marlene Dietrich

"Even in the weirdest circumstances, the most troubling episodes of one's life, the greatest divides for love and familiarity, there were these moments of undeniable joy." - Elizabeth Kostova

"But just remember, bumps on every road are overtaken everyday, and you can always go over any wall thats ever been built. Your past is at the bottom, your future is up high and your present is where you're stood now. Use your legs to keep walking and climbing, not for breaking down in the present." -- Anonymous (A Friend)
