Hey guys, just another aspiring writer here. I'm not really going to go into detail about myself on this thing, so I'll talk about my current projects instead.

The Cold Road is the most recent idea that's managed to take my mind hostage. Even though I've categorized it in Fantasy, I consider it more a work of speculative fiction. It has a few sci-fi and realistic elements thrown into it as well. Most of the story's influence comes from the works of China Mieville, who as of recent has become one of my all-time favorite authors. Other influences are Neil Gaiman and George R.R. Martin. What can I say? I'm a sucker for fantasy. And the weird. Gotta love the weird.

I'm putting this story on hold for now, not out of lost interest, but because I want to become a better writer before I pursue it. Right now it's just a holding pen for my ideas.

Metal Sense is more of a cheap thrill. It pretty much sticks with its genre (sci-fi), and will probably end up being fairly short. I'm writing it specifically to get more practice in style and pacing. Hopefully it'll be a decent story anyway.
