Updated Author's Note: For those of you who were reading Houses of Cards or Cadence Creek, you will now see that they have been removed from this site. I recently discovered that many publishers would consider this publication even though there is no money involved. As both are ultimately intended for legitimate publication, I have removed them. However, if you would like to continue to receive updates on the stories (as I will be still writing them), please drop me an email at the address indicated in my profile, and I will be happy to add you to my list of Beta readers.
I like lusty red wines and gregarious black teas. I prefer to start my
day with the latter and a bowl of traditional Scottish porridge with
Lyle's Golden Syrup, then follow it up with a 2-3 mile walk with my two
dogs Daisy (http://www.dogster.com/dogs/195461) and Angel (http://www.dogster.com/dogs/195469),
the furry loves of my life, and the actual love of my life, my dear
hubby of 4 years (in April). Between my three real world jobs of
supervising a university survey research center, teaching online
classes in general psychology, and substitute teaching in the local school district, I work on my primary love of writing.
Given the multiple jobs to make ends meet, I don't get to update my work as often as I'd like, but I promise to try! I've got a new mortgage on a tiny but cozy house we renovated ourselves
and a car that is currently being held together with optimism and
prayers. I prefer cowboy boots to high heels and the outdoors to in. If
I ever hit the best seller list, I'm paying off student debt for both
of us and buying a ranch. My friends find me quirky, generally humorous, and unflaggingly
honest, with only slight neuroses remaining following completion of my
graduate degree. You can find my writing blog at http://shaherazad.livejournal.com/ . I am absolutely open to constructive criticism and suggestions.
