REEVIIEEEWWWSSS!! I MUST HAVE THEM!!

Like most writers, I am a shameless review junkie. Thus, like most writers, I find fictionpress terribly disheartening.

I have a novel I've been working on every night for over five years now and I'M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO BETA-READ IT. In fact, right now the wonderful Nicki BluIs is beta-reading it, and she yelled at me for not telling the world as much. She's very good.

I have posted some stuff related to this literary monster (which you should read!) but I daren't post the book itself here because I love my characters too deeply to risk their being stolen, as happened when I so foolishly posted my first chapter to another site. Sadness. Anyhow, even if I did post it nobody would read it and I'd be so disillusioned that I'd probably go step in front of a bus or something. Seriously. The part I have put up here has gone summarily ignored, so... yeah. 'Tis enough to make a person bitter.

But if you're wondering, the things here related to mine opus magnus are Sins, Arvin, and Captain Blake, though not exactly in that order.

If you read something you should read one of the above listed, or Vehicular Homicide or Sorrow or The End, because those are ones I care about, as opposed to certain other works I have up here (ahem, evil hobos, anyone?). Also, if you do read one of these - or anything else, for me or anyone - FOR GOODNESS SAKE WRITE A REVIEW!! Even, "Hey, I read this," would suffice. Come on, now. Seriously. I'm baffled as to how some stories on this site have gotten reviews into the hundreds when I got almost a hundred hits on Witty and Misleading (another good one!) before getting a single review. Gosh that's depressing. Am I that bad? But if I am, why wouldn't people tell me so? Why allow me to continue operating under the false assumption that I can write? For God's sake, people - I'd rather be criticized than ignored.

Sorry. Emo attack.

I kind of get the idea that this site is just a wasteland of forgotten writings lying unread and unreviewed, strewn across the internets like so much stale breadcrust. But perhaps... perhaps someday someone will find me, like a tiny sulfide crystal in a roiling torrent of mud, and then I can stop sounding so stupid. Ha.

Write reviews or I will be sad.

PS. I'm also on fanfiction.net as EvilReceptionistOfDoom (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1071608/) and on deviantart as haius (http://haius.deviantart.com/).
