Good day, peeps! I am paleelap, previously known as internal chaos. Once upon a time, my life was devoted to this intricately interesting site, but sadly, I gained something of a life and decided the easier route would be to move my stories to my deviantART account.

...This didn't quite work as planned.

deviantART, despite being (in my opinion) the best art community site around, isn't very well equipped for stories and poetry. The head of the section couldn't tell good stories from teens with too much angst and a word processor, it was a trial and a half to edit stories at any stage of their posting, the section itself was largely overlooked by viewers in favor of the rest of the site, and there was a point where you could read someone's entire story just by holding your pointer over the thumbnail.

These are small flaws, I admit, but in view of what I had left, they became gaping open-mouthed flaws. With poor dental hygiene.

So, after a nostalgia-filled visit back (and after struggling to remember what the hell my password was), I decided it was time to come home.

It also helped that I noticed the ads weren't quite as annoying.

General Interests

Favorite Books: I'm a long time fan of fantasy, science fiction, and historical fiction, especially if they happen to include bitingly sarcastic main characters and dark humor. I've read far too many books over my lifetime to recount all my favorites, but a few examples are The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, The Adventures of the Stainless Steel Rat, the Dragonriders of Pern series, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Wicked, and The Book Thief.

Favorite Movies/TV Shows: I don't really watch too many of this, but I do rather like Scrubs, Fight Club, The Pirates of the Caribbean, and V for Vendetta.

Favorite Video Games: LEGEND OF ZELDA. FO' EVES. :eye twitches: And other than that small obssession, I like Metroid: Zero Mission, Portal, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Pokemon.

Favorite Manga/Anime: And here, homies, lies the big one. I am quite the passionate fan of manga. I have read more manga in the short amount of time since I discovered it than anything else. I adore it. However, because of all this manga I have absorbed, I cannot recall even an eighth of what they were. So, let's make things easy. More than any others, my two absolute favorite manga are Saiyuki and Ouran High School Host Club. What was my first manga (or at least the first one that sunk in)? Rurouni Kenshin. What got me into manga, anime, fanfiction, and the Internet in general? Pokemon, and then Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Things To Come

- Various things that I can't recall because everything's locked up on my hard drive. This will change once I have loaded everything onto my new netbook.
