Author has written 12 stories for Historical, General, Kids, Life, Romance, Essay, and Young Adult.

Originate from Nigeria. Born in Texas.

I'm a PK (pastor's kid). Graduated from Texas A&M University with a journalism and English degree. Almost done with graduate school at Northwestern University. Getting my M.S. in journalism -- magazine publishing and stuff.

I have been writing some story or the other since I was six. I haven't written as much since high school, but I'm trying to get back into doing it more consistently. School makes it kind of difficult ... and I guess I'm a little straddled by the fear of rejection. Of not doing well. And so I'm at a crossroads of sorts ... unsure of what I really want. Or rather, knowing what I want, but unsure of how to achieve it.

The story closest to my heart, and therefore the hardest to write and in a somewhat hiatus status, is "Joy". I'm still really working out the tone of the whole story. Right now the title is sort of in the process of changing. I have it as "Joy Unborn" or "Unborn Joy", and I also thought of "Joy Enternal." One of my sisters things I can make it into like a trilogy or something.
Basic summary: Amara and Stasi are best friends. Life has taken them down many roads, which has always brought them closer together. However, when the road to motherhood comes along, instead of it drawing the friends together, it threatens to rip them apart. Amara is 22, single, and has no desire to be a mother any time soon. Stasi is 23, happily married and glowing with joy at the prospect. From moments of resentment, sorrow, anger, disappointment and complacency, will God be able to lead them both to a place of joy?

Anyway, the others are just fun stuff I'm toying with and not really anything that has a fore-seeable end or any sort of plot or order to it. Or they are stuff I wrote a long time ago and decided to put on here as a sample of what I am capable of ... or maybe to mark some sort of growth in my writing.

If you critique my work, I will definitely check out your work and drop some lines. I am a thorough critic and will comment on everything and anything that I like and do not like about your writing (if time allows). Although I may not be the best writer, I have read so much in so many genres that I think I have a good grasp of what makes a good story, etc. And I'm not shy on being honest. But I promise I'm nice ... I have a hard time to be mean. I do get burned out though, cause I tend to read a lot in general and so if I take a long time to respond ... or haven't critiqued ... let me know!

Feel free to check out my blog on myspace at anytime! The writing there is more off the wall and for the fun of it.

Enjoy!
