Author has written 13 stories for Family, Life, Religion, Love, General, Nature, and Friendship. My name is Laura. I am 20 years old and a student at Grand Valley State University. I've been writing poetry ever since I was a kid. When I first started I just liked to get the words to rhyme, and while many of my poems still rhyme poetry has come to mean a whole lot more to me. For me it's like an outlet that helps me deal with some really tough stuff that goes on in my life. While I don't write nearly as often as I should anymore I've posted all my old stuff here and am making an effort to write more these days. 1. Who are you? reviewsThis poem is one of the first things I've wrote in a long time and it comes from a deeply personal place. My dad was 51 yrs old when I was born so I've had to deal with the issues that come from having an aging parent much sooner than most people.
