Author has written 54 stories for Love, Friendship, Life, Haiku, Family, Religion, Supernatural, and Politics. GUARDRAIL About Me: Hey, Guardrail here. I'm eighteen years old just finished my last year of high school here on the East Coast of the United States. I'm attending community college this fall, where I'll take Liberal Arts courses before I transfer. I'm not sure where yet, and I have no idea what for. My future is a blank slate. As for my free time, I like being outside, skipping school, being barefoot, and smelling the flowers. I don’t watch much TV, and I desperately wish I knew how to make more time to read. I love music and art, especially anything progressive or abstract. About My Writing: I write mostly poetry, but I've been attempting some novels... all of which have gone unfinished. But I'll get there one day, once I form a story I feel I can dedicate myself to. I'm inspired by the people in my life, and usually write about my relationships with them, both good and bad. I like looking for metaphorical parallels in the physical world that reflect the bonds we share and experiences that we have in our lives. I try to incorporate those into my poetry as I find them. Expressing myself in this way helps me keep my thoughts and feelings, which often scatter, in order (see where my penname comes from?). I also find it easier to do so if I know I'm going to have an audience- hence why I'm here on FictionPress. My Review Policy: That being said, I appreciate and acknowledge any and all reviews I get. I also believe in paying dues, so I'll review your writing if you review mine; one for one, two for two, etc. So you get what you give. And I hope for the same policy from other people, although for some reason, you don't see it too much anymore. Writing Updates: Venomous Design: An experimental piece. What I have of it is currently being rewritten, and then possibly re-posted. The changes I had to make were too much to just leave be. 5/9/08- My focus was Venomous Design for a while, so I wasn't really writing any poetry. But I've started again, and I'm trying to regain my standing with it. My style is changing, as am I. 9/26/08- Wow, I haven't posted anything in a while. But I have some new poetry finally. I just wasn't feeling all that inspired for a while there. I'm still writing Venomous Design, slowly but surely. I'll make the changes here on FictionPress when I'm ready. 1/13/09- I usually only post one new poem at a time, but I just posted six. They were all related, so I did it. And a bit of a tragedy happened. For some unknown reason, my flashdrive deleted ALL THIRTY PAGES of my Venomous Design file. Oh technology can be soooo unfair. Even if I copy and paste from what I've uploaded here on FictionPress, it still doesn't recover the progress that I had made with the story. It was incredibly devisating. 2/19/09- I posted a new collection of poems called Steady. And good news! I'm not sure how, but the Venomous Design file that disappeared has REAPPEARED! It just suddenly popped up on my flashdrive, out of nowhere. Weird stuff. But I'm happy that happened. Now I can continue my editing, so expect the changes here eventually. 4/7/09- Four new poems up today. I had some stanza issues again though. For some reason, I can't seem to sparate the stanzas right. So if the flow is off, that's why. Two new collections coming soon. 7/27/09- Back from vaca to Maine, with the collection "Acadia" to show for it. I now have three new collections, as well as five new solo poems. All of them need reviews, so feel free. I appreciate all reviews I get for ANY of my poems, no matter how old, So... I ALWAYS REVIEW BACK- REVIEW FOR REVIEW!!
