Even in literature and art, no man who boths about originality will ever be original:
whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it
has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without
ever having noticed it.

- C. S. Lewis

There are rules for writing the novel. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.
- W. Somerset Maugham

Hullo! I'm Casee, but I go by Idril in most writing communities. I am of no scholarly background, but I do know that I love words so much it makes me want to cry. I started writing fanfiction about three years ago, and only a few months ago I started writing original fiction. It's an excitement I can't explain, the creative process of dreaming up characters and lifestyles, I'm utterly passionate about it. What I write is what I see; what makes me happy, and sometimes I write what I think society needs to be reminded of. I'd say my biggest fault in writing is my modesty, but I'm working on that. I don't believe there's such a thing as a bad writer, really. Everyone can write, everyone can create a story - with a little imagination.
