Okay, so I've been a member of FictionPress since Spetember 2006, and thus I deem it time to actually fill out my profile (being June 2007).
I'm a high school student, and I'd like to think of myself being pretty imaginative. Example- I'm playing a video game or reading a book, and I will obsess for days, pretending I was a part of that world. I guess that's why I enjoy reading more fantastical pieces of fiction. That, or too much television as a child, you tell me. I guess that I've been writing since I was in 4th grade, but most of things that I would write out would borrow heavily from whatever cartoon I obsessing over at the time.
You've probably noticed by now I don't have anything posted on here. Posting one of my written works would involve some thought and courage on my part, mostly because the only thing that I've actually succeeded in writing out I posted to a close-ish group of friends on the Internet (yeah, I know, I'm a total geek); considering that most of the characters in that story were based off of several of them, it's not quite surprising the reactions would be nothing lower than average. Apparently, though, people like my writing style, so by the time I get another confidence boosts, I'll post a couple of chapters. Maybe. Now, doing so would be a huge step because this story is probably the only thing I will actually finish. This is because I would normally up a, what I like to think, interesting idea and then try to expand upon it, but it would go nowhere because I couldn't think of a strong enough backstory to support it or come up with an ending with which I felt satisfied. For future reference, the story's called Untitled. I agree, completely creative title.
Besides writing (which isn't actually a major hobby of mine, I'm just inspired way too easily), I play the cello, which I've been doing for about 6 years. I am a pretty competent player, no bragging intended, but I did beat out a senior player to be one of two cello players in the first ever higher-up strings class (e.g., we played harder music). Hopefully, that'll be the only time I try to act better than someone in something; truthfully, I'm a very nice person who tries to be modest while also having a mean, sarcastic personality.
