If a tortoise has no shell, is it naked or homeless?

Am attempting "proper story". Bear with me.
If you don't get something, please tell me. God knows some of the completely American stories on here completely confuse me :)

I am a teenager living in the south of England. I love lots of music, You Me At Six, The Blackout, Lily Allen, The Wombats, My Chemical Romance, Enter Shikari, Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Lostprophets, We Are The Ocean and Nickelback included.
