Good evening, my friends! As you will no doubt have gathered by now, I am a writer, and though I haven't actually done a great deal of it on this site, I hope to change all of that very soon. I have a number of projects ready at the moment, the teasers for which, I shall submit below. I am a fantasy writer and a massive fan of anything that does not belong to the world of the ordinary and mundane!
What else to say? I am an English student and a born writer, attending university at a southern city in rainy old England. I have several wonderful friends, who all support my writing ambitions, and two gorgeous younger siblings whom I adore more than anything in the world. I hope to someday become a successful fantasy writer, so you may well see my name on the shelves in Waterstones in the years to come!
Oh, and for the record, Siana is pronounced SHAH - NAH!!
Favourite Books - I am a big fan of the Lord of the Rings series, however, my all time favourite book is North Child by Edith Pattou (I believe it is called East on the other side of the Atlantic. Also, The Neverending Story and Madame Bovary (don't ask me why!).
Favourite Films - The film that makes me cry every time is the Irish film Into The West. Also, I like Bridget Jone's Diary. I am a big fan of Japanese anime and so Miyazaki's works are among my favourites, including Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.
Favourite TV shows - Oooh! Casualty (british, people, come on!) and Jonathan Creek. Out of the anime genre, I like InuYasha, Chobits and Fruits Basket. Oh, yes. And I used to watch the old eighties show Jem when I was younger (ducks the bunched up paper and apple cores)
Favourite Quotes -
"I love those who dream of the impossible" - Goethe Faust
"This is EXACTLY how Nazi Germany started! A lot of layabouts with nothing better to do than to cause trouble!" - Basil Fawlty
"'Good Madonna, why mournst thou?'
'Good fool, for my brother's death'
'I think his soul is in hell, Madonna'
'I know his soul is in heaven, fool'
'The more fool, Madonna, to grieve for your brother's soul being in heaven'" - Twelfth Night, Act I Scene V
Keep an eye out for the many poems, stories and the like that I hope to publish on this site. Be warned, however that once I am published in real life, I will remove everything! A word on plagerism: please don't steal my work. I have eyes everywhere, I will find out! Feedback is always welcomed, however, please make it productive criticism.
Also look out for me on http://silversiana.livejournal.com/
Thank you and ta-ra!
