Living in yesterday's dreams Childhood was so long ago That little ditty was written up when my pen name was Yesterday's Dreams, a name I was rather fond of. Yes, you are getting a history of my pen names, I find them a rather interesting happening, pen names, that is. They are one of the few names that we actually give ourselves, and say so much about us. Our likes, dislikes, fears, hopes, &c. Well, back to my story. When I first popped up here, I was nogopoofgopoof (my screen name for AIM.) It was based of an inside joke which is slightly more accessable to the general public than your ordinary inside joke. Then, yes, I was Yesterday's Dreams, and it stayed for quite a while, until I felt I should be using something closer to my real name for more practical claiming purposes. I became Valoury, returning my name to what I felt was closer to its actual meaning of Valerie (which the world translates as strong, ack!) with it being valor. (I was in a mood in which I wanted to put a 'u' in everything... sorry.) If you look at my screen name now, you will see that I use this translation for putting my name into Sindarin... Anyhow, Shortly there after, I decided that I should you what would be my pen name if I actually should publish any of this, VG Sherry. There is much meaning and thought put into that name, so much that I think it would be a giant waste of your time to read it. But if you really are curious, my email is up there... not that I check it or anything. I have been wanting to change the Sherry to Şerry but, alas, fp.com isn't letting me (and it would be a paint to change all the links.) Hmm... yes, so Vally is no longer an art student, but one of what will most likely be Near Eastern Studies, thought that has yet to be determined. Huzzah for college. Yes, I like art still and I like history, especially that of Eastern Europe, Russia, the Steppes, Mongolia, Afghanistan, the Mid East, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and that general neck of the woods. I also happen to be a big fan of movies, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter fannon and cannon. And general chaos and wasting time. Vally's statements of belife. If you want to change the world, get into a postion to do so. Human nature teaches you to be cynical, life teaches you to laugh. Where there's life, there's hope. Sometimes the only solution is to kill the bastard. Look to the past, for history is the only truth I have been able to find. This much I know- and that there is no point in fighting when you have lost faith, and I don't want to go down without a fight. Live on with hope, courage, and glory. Don't fear to dream, for dreams create reality.
