Some questions you might ask
How did you come up with your name?
The word "madman" is supposed to be indicative of how I get my ideas for my stories; I'm probably just insane. "with a Pencil" is from my preference to writing on paper with a pencil. I'm most comfortable writing in this way, probably cause most of my notes for my big project are written on paper. I do have part of it on the computer, but I recall one occasion where I opened the file and sat at the computer, unable to think about what should come next since I didn't have my notes right there beside me.
What genres do you like to read? And what genres do you write?
Most of what I like to read are science fiction and fantasy, though occasionally I drift into horror (as in Stephen King, who is one of my favorite authors) or contemporary fiction (I don't have too many examples for this). And similarly, what I write mostly becomes science fiction and fantasy. I don't write that much horror, though it does creep into my other works. And I write poetry, though I don't generally like to read poetry (whether I like a poem varies from poem to poem).
Where do you get your ideas?
The majority of my stories are based around some aspect of myself. Sometimes (as in my poetry), it's directly about me. Mostly, it's indirect, though, where one character represents me or one aspect of me (most often the Madman). But some of my ideas come from what I see on TV or the big screen. Generally, everything I see, everyone I talk to, and everything that happens to me, inspire me in some way.
So what's this big project you mentioned? Can we get a glimpse of it?
It's a secret. And I don't plan on publishing any part of it here, to preserve my anonymity. But, if in the future I change my mind and decide to reveal a piece of it as a teaser or whatever, you guys will know.
When will you publish your next work on here?
I have no idea.
