A Fine Line

I should be straight with those of you reading this story: I am somewhat invested in it, but it is distracting me from a much more valuable use of my time and a much more important writing goal. I am devoting most of my time to a project that I hope one day to publish. Meredith's story still intrigues and interests me, so I'm not saying I'll never get back to it, but don't expect very much. If you stick with me, I'll most likely finish the story but it may be over a period of many months, as in I'll only write for this when the mood strikes me.

In the meantime check out my livejournal where I'll hopefully be posting some snippets of different things and some unintentionally humorous anecdotes about my writing process. (Actually they'll probably be TRYING to be intentionally humorous, but whatever.)

Annie has been in love with her best friend Kale for...oh, about a century. Senior year means their last year together, but instead of the calm, indulgent year Annie had envisioned, Kale has turned it into a never-ending soap opera. His antics include getting plastered and passing out on Annie's bedroom floor and hooking up with a plethora of bitchy girls who seem to think Annie is worth exactly nothing. Suddenly her plan to make Kale fall in love with her is looking more and more complicated. And to make matters worse, Annie might just be falling for someone else--Leo, the guy with boy-next-door charm, who would be perfect if it weren't for the fact that he's Kale's dealer.
