Guten Tag! Wie geht's?

I started writing for fun when I was younger, but then stopped except for school assignments, then started up again after I discovered Fanfiction.net. Check out my stories. Same pen name. I'm in high school, I take Kenpo Karate (orange belt), and I'm the captain of our colorguard.

My favorite subjects are History, Literature, Art, and Foreign Language. I would like to have a career in history like an anthropologist, historian, or archaeologist or something. It depends on where I go with my studies. I would like to hopefully publish a book someday. Maybe.

I don't really care to be famous. Not that I would mind if I was, it's just that famous people seem not to able to go places without being chased down by mad crowds wanting a picture or an autograph.

I love basically any genre of books, but I mostly read Sci-Fi & Fantasy. Stuff with a lot of action/adventure/suspense and a little bit of romance in between. In my junior high school newspaper (one dedicated to those students going into high school and what they might become), I was voted most likely to be a mystery novel writer. I have yet to actually write a mystery novel. I love tragic characters like Lyserg from Shaman King, the Jyunishii (I think that's spelled right) from Fruits Basket, and Shigeru from Across the Nightingale Floor (from the Otori books), to name a few.

I owe a lot of my love of Sci-Fi/Fantasy/History to my dad. I don't remember how I was introduced to Science Fiction though. I think it all started with Star Wars. When he sees me reading some book, he always says,"If you like that stuff, then you'll really like this", then go to his closet or bookcase and get out an old or semi-new book. Sometimes when he gives me a book he says,"You'll have to read this in college anyway." Yeah...

Bis dann!

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

-John McGrae; 1915

"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends. They are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers." -Charles W. Eliot

"One of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the great struggle for independence." -Charles A. Beard

Stories

Rainnes Prime: Breakout (Sci-Fi)- A work in progress. Writing and rewriting the entire outline, plus preparing for a full length story and not just a oneshot. I've got a lot of work ahead of me.

Room 155- (Horror) Just a little disturbing piece that I wrote out on a whim. I refurnished it based on similar critisims in reviews, so hopefully I've made it better and a little more disturbing. I go into Ilse's thoughts a little bit to give the reader a small piece of her mind. (No pun intended.)
